I feel a little strange about the “I identify as” thing… like idk why? I don’t “identify” as gay, I am gay. Cis and trans women don’t “identify” as women. We are women. Like, why does this sound so off-putting to me? Is there something I’m missing?

A Toupée is an artificial hair piece, for all practical purposes, a wig. Toupée, like touche and en garde, is a french word. Toupee is being used here in the sense of a convertible…like drop the top…when Kendrick is driving and drops the top on his convertible, his girl can’t help but get a little loose and let the girls out. This ["doo-doo-doo-doo"] is Kendrick’s signature ad-lib likely developed from his song “Cartoon & Cereal.” This ad-lib is meant to resemble gunshots. This is something Kendrick came used to due to his upbringing in Compton, a city known notoriously for its high crime rate. K-Dot was Kendrick’s original rap name, and has now become an alter-ego. While Kendrick himself is laid back and calm, K-Dot is the more aggressive Compton side.

Kendrick noteably has a song about his uncle (a trans man) and his cousin (a trans woman) that is probably up there as one of his most heartfelt songs of all time, but I remember on an old blog where I once posted one thing about Kendrick and someone immediately jumped into my inbox berating me for talking about an antisemitic artist (and similarly to the above anon, they had completely confused their information).
I know Kendrick isn’t perfect, but I used to talk about a lot of artists on my old blog and coincidentally it was only the Black artists that had multiple people explaining to me exactly why I shouldn’t listen to them, with baseless and incorrect information that they hadn’t bothered to look up properly. I don’t just think this anon is being racist, I know they are because the second you mention a rap artist, it seems like every white person on tumblr has to crawl out of the woodwork and try to hide their overall disdain for Black artists with random excuses as to why those artists are the most dangerous and violent people alive.
You’re not slick. You could’ve spent five seconds searching up “Kendrick Lamar and trans women” into Google and you’d immediately be linked to Auntie Diaries, but you decided to choose a misheard lyric in a song that didn’t mention trans women once and berate someone for sharing a single Black artist. I’ve seen these games before, anon!!
And not just any Black artist, either, but one who is like… actively trans supportive! I’ve said it before, but Kendrick Lamar has done more for me as a trans man than pretty much every white popstar that tumblr loves to put on a pedestal for simply saying “protect the dolls” once in an interview. Kendrick’s not the perfect ally, but he sure as hell is a genuine one.

I have a love hate relationship with Chaggie. Scratch that, hate is a too strong of the word, more like apathy actually.
On one hand, the ship is cute, I get why people like it, and I don’t really mind that much they are the canon couple. But on other, I just find them so boring and I just don’t care about them, and I also think the ship is also a hindrance to Vaggie’s character.
The thing is, besides her backstory as an exorcist, Vaggie’s whole character is Charlie and making Charlie happy. We don’t know much about Vaggie besides her devotion to Charlie and her trauma at the hands of the exorcists.
Don’t please me? Here is Vaggie’s likes and dislikes on the Hazbin Wiki.
Aside from violence and fighting and niffty’s bug band, literally most of her likes have to do with the hotel or Charlie.
She literally feels useless if she isn’t protecting and defending Charlie.
And don’t get me wrong, I actually think this is an interesting character motivation. I understand why Vaggie is so devoted to Charlie. It makes sense. But what I don’t like is the narrative never questions or challenges Vaggie’s unhealthy devotion and attachment to Charlie. They reinforce it.
Vaggie’s song with Carmilla is about Charlie. While I think it’s a good song with a good message, it reinforces Vaggie’s devotion to Charlie.
I hate to be that person, but if Chaggie was a straight ship, people would call out Vaggie just being Charlie’s girlfriend more. If you don’t believe me, look at Millie and M&M, who get criticism constantly for crimping Millie’s character.
At least Millie is allowed to have some interests outside of Charlie (even if we don’t see it much) Vaggie has little to none.
Here's the third comic in the Open World AU. I decided it would be more interesting if the cast also had some limited ability to conjure and worldcraft, so I wanted to explore that. This comic is both the longest I've done yet and is the most involved painting-wise. I hope it was worth the wait!
the thing is that i actually do enjoy romance in fiction but i also believe that romance-repulsed aros have the right to complain that NOTHING is made for them except maybe kids media. once you start to realize how pervasive romance is in every sector of society it's impossible to ignore. like you remember when there were barely any gay shows on television and straight people expected us to be grateful for the one gay side character on a network show? that's exactly how it feels with romance all the time. i want to see media created by adults for adults that doesn't involve romance anywhere in the plot. i want to see characters (main characters!!!) not want romance and not be treated as broken or crazy. i want a world where my romance-repulsed friends aren't confined to kids media (and even then, to only a limited selection)

I mean, like, I get it but why do they sound privileged. and this is coming from a poor American who has Trump as prez. I feel like my fellow amuricans do not realize how rich we look to people in developing countries. A normal broke person’s house is worth a fortune in Mexico. But no, instead of responding with empathy (as you would when a marginalized person in the west is mad at their oppressors. you fluffin listen, right?) they make it about themselves and how bad their lives are. They sound like those influencers that apologize but don’t really apologize ykwim? Most allies seem performative nowadays and don’t question the ish they study. Rather, they don’t apply what they’ve learned. Some of these mfs have more knowledge than me on systems of oppression but they don’t?? actually?? learn from it?? does that make sense? There are so many people i see online that are like me, who have limited access to higher education, and lowkey they’re doing a better job at this deconstruction stuff than the uppity white liberals are.. it’s like w the black screens back in 2020. Your activism doesn’t mean anything in the end when you don’t take the time to listen to marginalized groups, and instead become reactionary when they say something you personally don’t like. The people from Gaza don’t owe us shit. They don’t even owe us respectability politics. If you can’t find time out of your day to afford a donation, fine, but why do we need to trauma dump lmao? It seems like standing up for others equates to speaking over them or having a desk job. It’s temporary so you don’t have to commit too hard.. ppl will say “free palestine” in one breath and then comment this type of stuff in another. Like, I could say “read a book” but as we have seen that clearly isn’t enough.
