I know cats are smart (like “choose not to take an IQ test ‘cause I’m too good for it” smart) and they are naturally unrepentant.
Has Stray ever decided to be a bother for the sake of it? Has Bruce been the target of it?
Was kitty litter involved?
Omg, I'm so late to this, idk how I missed it, tumblr must have eaten the notification 😅
"Has Stray ever decided to be a bother?"
Oh, when has she not! This little gremlin child is all about being as much of a bother to everyone in her surroundings as she can most of the time. She's an asshole, a lovable one, but still an asshole.
You see, the moment Bruce became anything resembling a parental figure to Tim is the moment his ability to parent has become Stray's business, bc while she couldn't exactly bully Tim's bio parents into being better at parenting, she can do so with Bruce.
And she is gleefully forcing him to actually handle the emotional effects of Jason's death and be a good adopted father to Tim, especially since she saw how he was with Jason and will not stand for Tim getting anything less 😤
Not to mention the fact that when she and Jason came back they brought bby Damian with them and Stray has already got attached to him too.
(She has successfully bullied Bruce into getting therapy to Alfred's eternal gratitude; it's why she can get away with things others can't)
But even before that, she took great joy in playing tricks on B, mostly when he was out as Batman. Nothing that she knew would potentially interfere with their hero work, but slow nights stopped being so slow and peaceful when Stray started roof-hopping, as those were perfect time to play pranks. Provoking chases, stealing bits of equipment or switching them out for other things bacame a standard.
As for kitty litter... Of course it was weaponized as soon as it appeared in the manor with the introduction of Damian's cat. Let's just say that Bruce kept finding it in places where no cat litter should be for months after that.
