♥ ♥ ♥ - Shining and Twinkling, the Light of the Future
The One Flower that Glistens as the Moon rises - ☾ ☾ ☾
The Baron? Attack on Paris? Now Swan didn’t know what Olivier was talking about. However, she kept her confusion to herself. She didn’t remember hearing about any attack on Paris, but Olivier must have been involved in it. Well, aside from the Phantom Empire invading the city.
Wait a minute… how long had the two been talking? Were people going to return soon? And the Zetsuborg victim could wake up any minute! Swan detransformed before anyone else could see her.
“I can understand that. The Zetsuborg attacks only seem to happen in Japan,” Tsubasa continued like she hadn’t just revealed her civilian form to a complete stranger. After all, she had her normal hairstyle and eye color when she was in the glowing blue thing. Olivier had seen that, so what was the harm in him seeing her in civilian form? What was that glowing blue thing called? Cure Underclothing? Probably not.
Olivier didn’t seem too thrown off by the girl’s sudden detransformation in front of him. It wasn’t like he was going to tell anyone her secret identity after all. He didn’t even know her real name.
“Japan seems to get targeted a lot.” Olivier observed. The only reason they had attacked Paris was because that’s where the Baron’s seal was, so there was no other choice. Probably Cure Ange of the past had been French, or at least had lived there.
“You had better clear out of here though. People should be coming back soon. I’m sure you don’t want attention towards yourself, not like this.”
48!
How do they express love?
Olivier is definitely the type who has trouble expressing his feelings properly. He’s rather shy in that department, whether it’s familiar, platonic, or romantic love, he has a hard time being forward with his feelings.
Cure Blossom, huh? Swan really wanted to meet her. And not just because Olivier said she was amazing! Most likely, the other Precure was her senpai. Swan had been meeting a lot of her senpai recently. The variation in their uniforms interested the blonde.
“I don’t know much about him, but I think Red was somehow related to Blue. The names are similar, anyway. I’d heard he threw his planet towards Earth on Christmas Eve. Did you see it? If it wasn’t for the Happiness Charge Precure, I think we’d all be dead!” Swan recalled the events of that night. She hadn’t been in Pikarigaoka at the time, but she could see Planet Red from Tokyo.
Swan blinked at Olivier saying she was “one of those Precure,” but she quickly got what he meant.
“Ah, yes! I am one of the Precure created by Blue. Not a very famous one at that…” She sighed at the last sentence. While she didn’t mind not being recognized, it still bothered her a little bit deep down. She remembered seeing someone looking disappointed when she had shown up to fight a monster instead of the Happiness Charge Precure. “There are a lot of us, aren’t there?”
“Blue?” Olivier blinked, but he didn’t get a chance to clarify his question, since Swan was already filling him in with as much information as she seemed to know. He almost didn’t have the heart to tell her that he didn’t really quite know who this ‘Blue’ was either- was he the person who gave them their powers, maybe?
“Ah, I saw that. It was crazy that night.” Olivier nodded his head. He and the Baron had been in Norway when the red Saiarks had fallen from what he assumed was Mars- fighting against them had been one exhausting night.
Ah, so Blue was the one who gave them their powers, then. Nodding to himself, Olivier folded his arms in front of his chest, coming to a bit of an understanding. “There are. More than ever before. Everywhere the Baron and I traveled, there seemed to be a Precure... nothing like what it was like before.”
“Aside from the attack on Paris,” Olivier said, deciding not to mention he’d been at the center of that attack, “the Precure have never really appeared outside of Japan before.”
“Don’t worry, I won’t say a word about that near him.” Nao told the Baron, unable to help but laugh as well. She had honestly felt a little intimidated by his height and unconventional appearance at first, but he was more and more proving himself to be a rather cheerful and pleasant - if somewhat weird - person.
At his answer to her question, Nao nodded slightly. The explanation made sense, although it also served to make her all the more curious about this rather eccentric man - it would be rude to ask him too many questions, however.
“Oh, I see! How long have you been traveling?” The green haired girl asked simply, figuring she could learn more from there and returning his smile. “I don’t get to travel often myself, since it’s pretty difficult to take six kids on vacation…” She added after a moment, though that wasn’t exactly the truth. Nao did use the Mysterious Library often after all - but it was still different from traveling with her family the way she’d have liked to.
What a nice young girl, the Baron found himself thinking. Of course, he didn’t mistake the presence of power that came from within her- a power that was rather similar to that which was possessed by the Heartcatch Precure, if only from a different origin from them. Another Precure, perhaps? Or perhaps another being similar to one.
It mattered not. Whether or not she was a Precure had no bearing on him now, for now he was a simple traveler, and a devoted father- nothing else.
“It’s been a few years now.” The Baron told her, thinking back to the first day that he begun his journey with Olivier. “I had been sealed up in one place for a long time, and Loup-Garou had no family or relatives of his own... well, before you know it, we became like father and son.”
“That said, I suppose our journey might be coming to an end sometime soon. I suppose he should be starting middle school, by now. It might be a good experience for him to attend a proper school, and I’ve already run out of things I can teach him.”
Starter Call!
Please like this post for a starter!
I’m really looking for muns I haven’t had the chance to interact with yet, especially if we’re mutuals, so please don’t be shy if you fall into those two categories!
Swan nodded. She smiled softly.
“I guess you could say that. Have you seen monsters like that before? I mean, have the Heartcatch Precure fought them before?” The blonde Precure then let out a sigh.
“I don’t know why these Zetsuborg things are attacking Pikarigaoka. Everything was supposed to be over when the Happiness Charge Precure defeated that Red guy…” Swan realized it probably wasn’t a good idea to tell her worries to a person she just met. “Ah! I’m sorry! It’s my duty to protect Pikarigaoka from monsters like these! Whether they’re Saiarks or Zetsuborgs!”
“Not monsters like that.” Olivier said simply. “But I have seen the Heartcatch Precure fight before.” He told her, leaving out the part that the one they had been fighting was himself. “They’re amazing, especially Cure Blossom.”
“Red?” He blinked, tilting his head to the side a bit. He knew about the Happiness Charge Precure though- they had been featured on television, after all. “Ah, the Saiarks and stuff, right? I see, so you’re one of those Precure.”
Swan let out a sigh as the Zetsuborg vanished. Why were those things showing up in Pikarigaoka? Maybe she would never know. All she could do was fight them to keep the town safe. Well, if the Happiness Charge Precure didn’t get to them first.
Swan smiled softly at Olivier’s comment.
“Well, it’s nice to meet you Olivier-san!” She said. She did note the lack of a surname. So, she had to call him by his first name right away. It felt odd, but she’d met people like that before. At the mention of the Heartcatch Precure team, she blinked a little. Did she recognize that name? No, she didn’t. They probably weren’t Precure who obtained their powers from Blue. Therefore, they stayed out the public eye.
“I’m afraid I haven’t heard of them. I’m sure I’ll be able to meet them eventually.” Swan looked up to see that she still needed to free the person from the cage. “Ah! Hold on one second.”
“Swan Lake Key!” Using the powers of her Love PreBrace to summon a key, she flew over to the cage and rescued the victim. She set them down on a nearby bench before returning to the boy.
“I’m sorry. Those cages don’t usually disappear after the monster is defeated.”
“I see.” Olivier’s face fell a little. Here he had been hoping to maybe meet some of the Precure that Tsubomi would talk about from time to time. Whatever disappointment he felt, however, was pushed aside for a moment, as he watched in confusion as Swan made a small key with her magic.
Following the direction of her flight, a look of understanding crossed his face as he saw her free the person trapped within the cage, nodding his head. “I see. It’s alright, you don’t have to apologize. You have to do what you have to do, right?”

Swan was amazed at how fast the boy got the Zetsuborg off the roof. It was unusual for a human to be that fast. But, she wouldn’t dwell on that for long. Any questions would wait until after the monster was defeated.
Smiling back at the boy, she quickly flew over to the Zetsuborg’s location. She immediately began rushing at it with a flurry of kicks and punches. She was careful not to let herself get hit this time. She had already been defeated once, after all. Luckily for her, it seemed weaker than it was on the roof. That boy really helped her out there. When it was unable to move for a sufficient period of time, Swan decided to finish it off.
“Light of grace, become holy power! Love PreBrace!” Swan did the usual motions to activate her attack. She summoned a giant feather made out of light and held it above her head. “Aqua Windy Shoot!” She punched the feather towards the Zetsuborg, which was then carried into the air.
“Grace, return to the heavens!”
As usual, Olivier couldn’t help but be a little dazzled by the monster’s cleansing. Granted, there was nothing quite like the Heartcatch Orchestra he’d seen performed by Blossom and the others- but there was something to the glittering magical energy that put him at peace, as if there was a change in the atmosphere around them that only he could pick up.
“That’s amazing.” Olivier noted, having jumped down off the roof, and approached Swan. “I’m Olivier, by the way. I’m a friend of the Heartcatch Precure team- do you know them?”
“You know, Blossom, Marine, Sunshine, and Moonlight?”
Yuri wasn’t the kind of person to be interested in gossips. She always thought people who were to be truly despicable. However, she couldn’t help but feel slightly disappointed that Olivier interrupted himself during his story. She was curious about what other embarrassing predicament the Baron had possibly managed to get himself into, and how often these happened.
Back at the matter at hand, the girl followed Olivier as he led her to the police station. There, she arrived in the middle of the protagonists of this case. A policeman, the offended woman, and the Baron that she barely recognized since the last time they met.
The woman was vehemently spouting accusations at the baron while the agent was nonchalantly taking notes. She was talking too fast for Yuri to fully understand her, but she got the general idea of what she was saying. She had probably been repeating herself for the last hour.
Yuri stepped forward, nodding in the general direction of the Baron as a quick greeting. She was much more confident in her french than her italian, but she decided to step in and, hopefully, try to get the Baron out of here.
“Excuse me, Signora? May I know what exactly has this man done to you?” She asked, in a very basic italian.
The Baron wasn’t quite certain which he was more shocked by- the sudden appearance of Cure Moonlight, of all people, or the fact that she was speaking Italian. Not as flawlessly as him (of course), but passable enough. Blinking for a few moments, he turned his head, spotting the silver gray locks of his son, who proceeded to give him a hapless shrug.
So this is what Loup-Garou had meant when he claimed he was ‘going to get help’. Of all the possible people in the world he could have contacted, the one he decided to get in touch with was that Cure Moonlight of all people.
She would never let him live this down, he sensed that much. He knew full well she didn’t like him all that much, redemption or no- not that he could exactly blame her.
“I’m not certain it’s any of your business.” The woman snapped, almost spinning on Yuri, looking her up and down. “Are you with him? You’re with this small slip of a girl?” She looked back at the Baron, narrowing her eyes further, and impressive feat in of itself.
“Like I said, I’m not...” The Baron lifted up his hands, glancing over towards Yuri again. “I know her, but I’m not with her or anything... and like I’ve been saying, you’ve got the wrong person!”
It wasn’t like he didn’t sympathize with the woman- and it wasn’t like he didn’t believe she hadn’t been harassed, and had every right to be angry. If she just let him get a word in edgewise, he could even help her find the real criminal, but...

The Precure? That meant the boy didn’t know the Happiness Charge Precure existed. How odd. Usually, people knew they existed and didn’t know Cure Swan. It was understandable, but Swan felt a little jealous of the other team. They usually had people to cheer them on.
“Okay. Can you help me get that thing off the roof?” Swan asked, looking at the Zetsuborg. “I don’t want that thing falling into the building. I can’t let any innocent people get hurt.”
“Yeah, I can do that much.” Olivier nodded his head. Shifting on his feet, he let out a burst of speed, rushing towards the Zetsuborg. As it reached down to capture the quick werewolf boy, Olivier avoided it’s hands, sliding underneath it’s legs.
Once behind it, he jumped in the air, delivering a kick that sent the Zetsuborg sailing off of the roof. Upon landing, he glanced over towards Swan, giving her a quick grin.
“It’s all yours.”
“Oh, don’t worry, I’m okay with sharing the bed.” Dark said after a moment, trying to rub the sleepiness off of her eyes - though this quickly proved ineffective. Honestly, she would’ve agreed with anything at this point, even with the option of letting the older boy keep his bed and using the couch herself, as long as she got to sleep.
Thus, the little girl didn’t even protest when Olivier offered to carry her. She briefly wondered if he would be able to do it with how short he was, but pushed the thought aside and wrapped her arms around his neck, carefully holding onto him.
“Thank you, Olivier-oniisan.” She said quietly, letting out another yawn as her eyes began to close.
She was lighter than he had expected.
Granted, Olivier was stronger than the normal human, but he’d expected the small dark haired girl to be a little heavier- instead she was almost as light as a feather. He wondered again if she had been eating enough, and resolved to talk to the Baron about making sure she had a hearty meal before they even thought about looking for her family.
Of course, that would be in the morning, considering that she was drifting off almost as soon as she climbed on to his back.
“You’re welcome.” He said softly, glancing back at her as he stood up, glancing up at the Baron, the two of them sharing a slight nod. He kept his pace careful, so not to wake the small girl on his back. “Sleep tight for now.”
The boy’s words made Tsubasa more upset than she already was. She didn’t know if he was there to see how one-sided the battle was. That Zetsuborg was fast and unpredicable. However, he had a point. The monster was on a roof. If it was allowed to stay there, things could get really bad.
Holding back tears, the blonde retrieved her Prechan Mirror from her bag.
“Pretty Cure Rolling Mirror Change!” Tsubasa transformed with a bright blue flash. “The wings of grace flying high! Cure Swan!” Immediately after her introduction speech, she pulled out her Innocent Form Precards. Right before her defeat, Swan attempted to use them in desperation. However, the Zetsuborg landed the final hit before she could retrieve the cards. “Pretty Cure Innnocent Form!”
“…Thank you. I’ll try not to slow you down, okay?” Swan said, smiling somewhat awkwardly.
“You’re the Precure here, aren’t you?” Olivier said, glancing back at the girl. Her uniform was different than Tsubomi and the others... exactly how many different Precure teams were there, exactly? “I don’t think you slowing me down is anything to worry about.”
“I’ll help pin it down, if you can purify it.” Olivier told her, looking back towards the Zetsuborg. “Don’t worry about me, and fight that thing to your heart’s content. If it hurt you before, all you need to do is pay it back tenfold.”
