okay i think the production and lyrics work so well on this one to paint a picture and it’s her on stage doing so well and hitting all of her marks (which is really evident during “i’m so miserable and nobody even knows!!” which sounds exactly like what i imagine she sounds like when she’s joking with her singers and band on stage; smiling behind all of her words) except the mask slips a little during “he said he’d love me all his life”/“he said he’d love me for all time” and it almost sounds as if she’s stopped moving and you can hear her breathing heavily in between the words but then she’s right back in it and putting on her show (big and little) and i think it’s silly that this is the fan-focused(ish) song that people feel guilty about because she’s telling you and showing you that doing the eras tour is what kept her moving forward when all she wanted to do was die
