The Road to Where I am Now.
So it has been a year since I've logged into Tumblr, a year full of chaos, love, and hard work. It's also been a year since I've logged a weight in MFP and six months since I've tracked in Fitocracy. I've gained more than 15 pounds and not all of that muscle but I've also worked on things that are more important than weight (grad school is eating my life).
There's no sense in beating around the bush, I'm not happy with my current weight of 142 and all my lifts being pretty much back to basic. But what got me going is my climbing, I've stagnated and I'm sure it's because of my lack of weight training. Everyone says yoga and climbing are great together but I know in the back of my head I need to be lifting. So I've made a plan. The plan of all plans.
Log all this into Fitocracy: I need to do yoga for my sanity and teaching it doesn't count.
I need to do some sort of cardio to cut fat - skiing, running, swimming, anything for an hour.
I should lift twice a week, one upper body day and one lower body day
And I need to climb at least twice a week. Finally in terms of nutrition, I am almost completely cutting processed carbs and sticking with whole food options and logging my progress on MFP. I'm not quite savvy enough to do macros but it's something I need to work on.
This is important to me and I also need to make time for it which will be interesting in the coming months. But it is a place to start.

Oi the past few days have been rough since I decided to start again lifting to break my climbing plateau. I legitimately cannot make it down stairs, I took the elevator (down not up) for a first time since I can remember. My lifts are no where near what they used to be but I guess it's better than starting over. You never realize how good shape you were in until you try to get back in shape. Bring on hot baths, foam rollers, and encouragement. I'm going to need it! xx
