in 2026 DO NOT ask yourself whether your art is GOOD
instead ask:
is it SINCERE
was it CATHARTIC
was it FUN TO MAKE
is it MADE BY ME
and don't forget to stay silly

Female figurine (marble) found in Thessaly, dating to 5300-3300 BCE, the period in Greece known as the Late Neolithic. Female figurines in various materials--clay, limestone, or marble like this one--dating to the Late Neolithic have been found throughout Greece, including on Aegean islands such as Karpathos. Their simplified, stylized depiction of human anatomy has been seen as a precursor to the Cycladic art style prevalent from the end of the Neolithic into the early Bronze Age. The significance of the figurines is much debated: perhaps inevitably, they have sometimes been read as fertility deities, but without knowledge of their broader cultural context, no meaning or meanings can be called definite.

I wish I was able to do my work better and more efficiently bc i actually have the leave to do my own fun little projects at work if I have time and the thing is I do actually have time to do so I just spend far too much time angsting over simple tasks. Time which would be much better spent just doing what I need to do at a reasonable time and then read the translation of an important gay book into English by the author which actually isn't a translation but also a revision (no one else seems to know this) and there are some changes done to important scenes but I want to read through the this edition throughly and mark every single deviation and what sort of deviation it is and compare to the original and I could just do this which would be super fun but alas instead I use a ridiculous amount of time to write simple things.

Spin the wheel. Tomorrow, you wake up in this country with, however implausible, a passport for both it and your home country. How do you feel?
This is awful; I’m booking a trip home immediately.
I really don’t like this; I’ll stick it out briefly, but I’m heading home soon.
This isn’t great; I’d rather be back home, but I’ll manage until I can get back.
Being here isn’t better or worse than being in my home country.
This is pretty nice; I’ll stay a little while, but go home eventually.
I love it here; I’ll be staying a long while before I go home.
This is amazing; it’ll be a long time before I go home, and I may stay here.
