I can't believe i finally get to say this but I'm done with this degree. It took forever but I was able to overcome my self doubts (at least until I sat across from my professors during the exams) and actually understand concepts and learn and apply all these mathematical constructs I always believed I was simply too stupid or disadvantaged for. I still believe that studying English instead of maths as a second subject will always be a disadvantage, but now I know that it's not enough to stop me.
I can't wait to start documenting my master's journey (you'll actually see stuff from English courses on this blog then!) and see how I can apply what I've learned about myself and how I study best during an active semester.
Now I go into a well-deserved summer break. For the first time in ages I don't have an exam (or multiple ones) looming in front of me. I'm free.
I hope all of you get to rest soon as well. Wishing you luck!
essay written. quiz passed. exam prep awaiting me. trying not to die in this heat; trying not to give up because the semester isn’t over yet. still so lost about my future.

Guess who noticed they didn't update after the last exam?
I passed Angewandte Geometrie (and even got an A, can't believe that) and already have my next (and last!) exam scheduled for Thursday next week. I am so close to finishing this degree that I never thought I'd be able to complete. I can't think too much of that yet or I'll cry, so I'll just try to update next week, once it's over.
In the meantime, I was quite busy. After my exam I visited my sister, went to the Linkin Park concert in my area and participated in an obstacle course race. Soon I'll have time to form more unique memories. I can't wait.
Alan Turing and Ada of Lovelace did not invent computer science for the girls and the gays to claim they can't do math
I hate when people say “trying isn’t good enough”
So to all the people out there who’ve been told that, trying is good enough. To all the neurodivergent people, the chronically ill, the disabled, and everyone else: trying is good enough. As long as you are trying, it is good enough. Don’t let people tell you otherwise.
- really busy with assignments right now, I have 3 assignments due next week
- emailed some potential supervisors for my masters next year
- a bunch of my friends graduated recently. super proud of them but I’m gonna be here for another year so I feel a bit behind :,)

it took me literally 5 hours for a 5 mark question. how lucky am i to be exhausted doing what i worked so hard to do

I successfully passed the first (and, according to my professor, hardest) part of Angewandte Geometrie. I am very motivated to get the second part done much quicker.
During this exam, I again bore witness to a salesperson calling my professor's office to sell wine to another professor, who died in 2012 but used to order wine from this company. I can't believe it happened again. Who sells someone wine at work?
i need to age regress to 18 and do a bachelors degree correctly this time and get a million dollar job the moment i graduate and make 2000 friends who all love and worship me and find the artifact and defeat the evil mastermind and slay the ape
Knowledge can’t be taken away from you.

I like the way the sunrise and sunset reflects off of windows. starting gravitational waves in general relativity :)

Kinematik is over and done with. For some reason I find exams with this particular professor much harder than everyone else, so I'm positively surprised that I managed an A. Bummed that I studied all of robotics for no reason though, since he didn't ask me any if it.
Now there are only two exams left! Angewandte Geometrie next.
I really like studyblr because it shows the small parts of people's lives and I think that's quite nice
Why are almost all the study blogs also like girl bloggers or have a super clean aesthetic? Where are my chaotic and outdoorsy study blog girlies?

I’m starting to look like a medieval peasant because all of the study rooms in the library are literally freezing (took a thermometer, my favorite study room is actually 31 degrees F)
