“don’t call them dreams, call them plans,”
the problem with this coffee shop is that it’s too cute and too expensive and my wallet cannot keep going here every other week
Something I do to quickly mark the place of a subject is to take a bit of washi tape and just fold it in half and tape it to the edge. It doesn’t stick out too much and it looks nice and organic.
Knowledge is the most solid foundation for every journey.
Sometimes I'll go into town to do work and I'll just end up in a book shop after having desert or something
When I go to my local bookstore's café to work on my project but end up reading for two hours (oopsie)

new year means new journal :))) i finished my old journal right on 12/31 so i decided to get a new one… except it’s actually an old one !! i am restarting an old moleskine i abandoned in the middle of law school since i didn’t want it to go to waste. although it does skip a chunk of time (the lime green tab marks 2025), i added a very cute bodega cat sticker on it so it feels brand new 😎
q for the chat: how’s the journal situation looking in 2025?

✧ preparing for next semester series (2/12): gentle planning guide ✧
hello sweethearts! mindyyy here! continuing our semester prep series with something super important - planning your schedule with intention and care.
here's a little break down into breaking this down into manageable pieces that won't overwhelm your precious mind:
essential planning elements:
class schedule
study blocks
self-care time
social activities
rest periods
creating your weekly template:
start with fixed classes
add study blocks (2-3 hours per class)
schedule meal times
plan exercise/movement
include social time
mark dedicated rest periods
time blocking tips:
use color coding (pick pretty colors!)
leave buffer time between activities
schedule harder tasks during your peak hours
include preparation time
add flexible blocks for unexpected things
digital vs. paper planning: digital sweetness:
google calendar for main schedule
notion for detailed planning
reminder apps for tasks
digital sticky notes
paper paradise:
pretty physical planner
weekly schedule template
monthly overview
habit tracker
to-do lists
remember:
don't overschedule
include white space
be realistic with time
plan for self-care
allow flexibility
my favorite planning hack: schedule your planning time! set aside 30 minutes each sunday evening to review and adjust your week ahead.
gentle hugs, mindy x
p.s. what's your favorite way to plan? digital or paper? 🎀

the beginning of January 🌹 reblog is ok, don’t repost/use
✦ Wrapping Up the Year
▪ What are my goals for next year?
▪ What will I do to achieve those goals?
▪ What drained my energy this year?
▪ What will my life look like in the new year?
▪ What milestones did I accomplish this year?
▪ What are my intentions for next year?
▪ What did I learn this year?
▪ What am I most grateful for this year?
academic resolutions that i will try to implement in 2025 ✨:
replacing more of my screentime with reading time, doing craft, spending time outside or moving my body
reading 10 pages of an academic article not related to my thesis each day. exploring and studying for joy and to expand my general curiosity and knowledge.
working consistently and realistically in small chunks instead of overwhelming myself with unrealistic expectations and getting burnt out or procrastinating
what are your academic resolutions for the new year? i’d love to hear them!
