Barcelona // Gothic quarters
My sister came to visit me.
Barcelona // aifs trip
This trip was amazing and I hope they have the option again next year for others. The hostel we stayed at was right in the middle of the main areas. It was also so warm though it did get a bit hot at times overall it was nice. The beaches were beautiful the waves astonishing. The cooking class was my favorite other than the shopping. We cooked many dishes and it made a delicious dinner. There’s a gothic part of Barcelona with winding alleyways which is just very pretty but within them are many shops and if you just keep going you can find some really cute ones. For example I found a shop for rubber duckies. Also Spain’s McDonald’s are wonderful there’s so many different items they have. For example they had macaroons an cheesy bacon fries. But more than anything this trip let me meet people from other programs and schools and really get to know them and hang out I really enjoyed making new friends and connections it made the trip even more enjoyable. I hope aifs continues to have this trip in the future for others to connect with each other and experience this amazing destination.
My housemate's adventures
Underground // late nights.
When coming to London you will often be using transportation. London offers great services such as the bus and underground. If you’re looking to look around more see what’s around, The double decker buses allows you to watch all the many shops and resturaunts pass by. It also just lets you see London as a whole. But buses are the slower type of transportation id only reccomend taking them if you’re wanting to see more of London and have time. When I first came to London I made the mistake of using the bus. I was often late at the beginning. Here the rush hour is at 7:30, the exact time I usually leave to get to school which is approximately an hour away. When it comes to buses they have to stop at the red lights, wait for passengers to get on off, and accomdate any needs. Buses also make many stops along the way. So all that combined makes the trip much longer. Now, the underground’s although they are much quicker the likelihood of being pressed against someone or standing is high. The tube is the more popular type of transportation. it has fewer stops and goes much faster than the buses, overall making the trip much shorter. But you will still want to factor in time because you will most likely have to walk a little bit more than if you take a bus depending on the destination. In conclusion both types of transportation are wonderful to use to get around. Whether you have time, or are in a hurry. Depending on what you want one or the other will accomdate it. Both equally give you a taste of Britain’s culture as you’ll often meet Londoner’s on either.

Muswell Hill // night line.
if you plan on coming to London bring a medium to light coat often times it can get cold but not enough to wear a heavy jacket. Also bring a sturdy umbrella they don’t joke about the rain. I didn’t bring one and ended up buying one for 5£ needless to say against the wind it did not win. Classes abroad are either really laid back or diffcult. I love being able to see art galleries and plays. Though I admit my body does get tired from the constant field trips, and not every field trip is for me but it’s still nice. But the classes feel too laid back to the point I feel like I’m missing something and my hard class I know I’m missing something there’s constant reading which is always too much the homework will be 4-7 hours depending on how well I do notes I’m not a fast reader either. Not to mention most of the time I can’t understand what we’re learning it feels jumbled she will talk about one thing but then it really won’t have any importance for the test or reading really. It can be difficult but still won’t get me down about London. I want to do so much but I also feel time is so limited. to be honest I would like to do some soul and answer searching, I want to live my best life here and figure stuff out before going back. London is very busy but has a sense of calm. I especially love the nights here. It’s nice to be able to walk outside without much worry.
Time lapse bus ride in London
Really cute restaurant in broadstairs.
Broadstairs has beautiful cliffs and the ocean is wonderful. Though I’d recommend going when it’s warmer.
Love the colors they make their houses.
Rainy pictures of some well known places in London.
