soon: comfy sweaters, hot beverages in cups, leaves crunching under your feet, drops of rain against the window, reading your book in bed
“… when you’re buying books, you’re optimistically thinking you’re buying the time to read them.”
— Arthur Schopenhauer (b. 22 February 1788)
don’t be realistic on what you want. be realistic on how you’re going to get it.

Day Two
August 28, 2018
6:00PM
I honestly cannot find the motivation to get everything I want done I get held up in the organization aspect.
Taking a class or getting a tutor for my LSAT study is to expensive for me. Which leads me here...
I have bought all of the Powerscore books, all of the previous LSAT official exams, I also have an old version of the LSAT Trainer (which I’m not sure if I want to use bc I’m not sure how relevant it is), Logic games blueprint book, and the the official LSAT super set II.
My plan for this week:
1. Find out how long it takes me to read through certain chapters/pages
2. My studying will include: A. Note taking B. Reviewing terms C. Drills D. Practice testing F. Reviewing my mistakes on practice tests
3. I’m hoping to study 24 to 26 hours a week, broken down by 7 days thats about 4 hours a day and if it is only 5 days a week it is a little over 5 hours a day. After a couple of weeks I will decide how many hours a day work best for me & what I need to change up in my routine.
When Opposing Counsel Asks If You’re The Secretary
“If you can’t beat fear, just do it scared.”
— Glennon Doyle Melton
Job Hunting
I hate this crap. Writing cover letters and shouting into the void. And half the time I have to call the firm’s secretary because there is nobody listed as the recipient or contact person in the job listing. I’m trying to do 3-7 per day, with a tailored cover letter for each, but so far the only response was “Please resubmit your application through ‘x portal’ instead of a direct email to the recruitment officer.” (Though I am grateful they told me to reapply, instead of just dismissing my application.)
Here’s to the weekend being only one day away!
I had a job lined up for after the bar but then some b.s. happened (hiring freeze) and now I’m starting the whole process of trying to find a job and being told to wait until the bar results come out by so many recruiters.
If you get a job, get everything in writing that your position won’t be terminated y’all.

Really organizing my thoughts for a realistic LSAT study schedule, the anxiety of failing at it has put me off from touching my material - but now it’s time get things going.

if you can’t say it in basic words, you probably don’t understand it well enough.
PAY YOUR INTERNS
getting “paid in experience” doesn’t mean anything in a 10 week full-time internship where you will get 400 free hours of labor out of me, while I am unable to pay my rent, and other necessary bills. the gas company will not let me tell them about my experiences working for you in exchange for free heating
bar prep: ok so you're taking this state-specific bar
me: yes
bar prep: to test your knowledge of this state's laws
me: uh-huh
bar prep: what does a minority of states say about this
me: what?
bar prep: what are the different tests different jurisdictions use for this thing
me: shouldn't i just know my jurisdiction's test-
bar prep: half the states follow which doctrine?
me: is my state even included in this half you speak of
