hey there! i’ve wanted to commit to a studyblr for ages now, but i’m home for my second semester, so i figured now would be a good time to start!

some things about me:

i’m a 3rd year microbiology student

i’m in the northeast U.S.

i’m very intrigued by film and design, so i’ll have to remind myself what i’m supposed to be posting about on here! stem! stem stuff!!

cancer! 

i can’t seem to stick to a dark or light academia aesthetic, so expect some pretty chaotic posts!

back by unpopular demand: me and my blog

Things got so yucky in my brain starting in February, hence the falling-off-the-face-of-the-Earth. Fixed that, though, and I’m back at my studies, determined to make dean’s list again. Gained my will to live motivation to study back along the way, too. Might make some posts, might not. We’ll see. I’m a busy lil pupil.

it snowed last night so i decided to read in bed today.  i also listened to prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune by debussy this morning as it was recommended by my professor and i luckily have it on vinyl.

02.01.21 | I’ve given up on trying to maintain a consistent bullet journal. Now I embrace the unbridled chaos of jumping from pocketbook to loosely bound note cards to old printed journal article with notes from 2 different classes. I am a forest fire and I am the fire and I am the forest and I am a witness watching it

Winter Studying Challenge

27th December: What was the best moment (of your Christmas)?

This Christmas I didnt have the difficult family moments of previous years. It was a quieter, more grateful christmas. I hope everyone had a nice time. Xx Emily

dedicated day i || took my baseline exam this morning, and wow, spooky. i spent last night setting up notion to work as a planner and as a STEP study tracker, and i really like it so far! this afternoon, i added a little more to it and kicked off studying with biochemistry using first aid and boards and beyond.

Went to the farmers market this morning for bread (olive & sourdough) and cheese (black truffled gloucester) and had one of those perfect December moments:   crisp cold air; the smell of christmas trees & mulled wine; lots of little dogs in jackets. Now finishing this essay with hot tea & just having one of those days where I feel very thankful for everything.
