Studying for my exam tomorrow... its the retake so i hope i do fine this time ( the first time a had a very high fever and it didnt go so well haha)
How is your evening going?
Working in some transcription for my phonetic laguages classes! Its really difficult but im pushing forward!!
Gone
This is the first time in like 1,5 year that im writing again on my studyblr.
For the past 6 moths i thought about writing/ upload pictures again but i just couldn’t.
This year ( im almost done for my first year!! #yeay) i started at uni to become a speech and laguage therapist. I worked really hard to go to this school so i was so happy.... and then i got sick and we didnt know what it was, now at the end of my year i know i have an cronnical illnes and it affects everything in my life , my energie, school and friends.
This was very hard for me and i became depressed. I got help from a therapist and im feeling a lot better now. My last exams are in one week and then im going on a long holiday to france.
I want to post again so i will try again. I hope you guys understand why i was away for so long ...
To a new start!!!!
( sorry if my english is not so good, in working on it)
this husky is mad because he wants to take a bath but isn’t allowed to
let my poor baby take his bath
If y'all really knew. If y'all really knew what utter drama queens huskies are this wouldn’t surprise you at all.
This is my life.
Literally my husky is the same way. He’s only a few months and he’ll cry to go back outside after being in the house two seconds.
I once ran out of my house in my pajamas at 2 in the fucking morning because I heard a dog screaming like it had been hit by a car. As I’m pelting towards the road barefoot I see an open garage with two people standing there and a husky in the back of a truck. I slowed down and asked them if that noise had been their dog.
Heavily embarrassed they admitted that it was. The reason for the godawful tortured sound the dog had made?
“We took his running harness off.”
And that was the moment I vowed to never own a husky.
I frequently pet sit for a friend’s husky, who is completely normal and unremarkable for her kind with one crucial exception.
She is dumb as soup.
(You didn’t hear that from me: her owner thinks she’s a genius, bless him.)
Anyway, my dog Tribble thinks Arya the husky is one of her very own adopted babies, so she stays with us fairly often. Reasons I have heard this dog dissolve into a screaming, wailing meltdown include:
I followed my buddy up a mildly steep hill and now she’s gone and I can’t figure out how to get down
That one cat won’t be friends with me even though all the others will
I hopped up on the sofa and the hardwood floor next to it is much more confusing than the laminate I have lived on since I was two months old and I don’t know how to get down
I’m mildly bored and my buddy yelled at me when I tried to bite her neck for the zillionth time
I want to play with that potted plant but you said I couldn’t
I’m overcome with joy because you took me on a walk to the hardware store
I want that biscuit but I forgot what sit means and now I’m frustrated
I haven’t seen you in two weeks and I forgot you weren’t dead and I’m overjoyed
You are not petting me enough
You are not petting me at all
I got lost four times in five minutes on the off leash trail and now you won’t let me off again for a while
There’s a brush and I need it
You made eye contact with me and didn’t immediately drop everything to pet me
She’s a very good dog, and she’s a sweet dog who is never offended by anything, but the screaming has singlehandedly ensued I will never, ever, ever own a husky. I like having functioning ears too much.
To be fair, you and your friend may both be right: huskies, like border-collies, are just intelligent enough to develop Exciting Cognitive Neuroses, much like a toddler, which frankly dumber dogs will skip because they don’t actually have quite enough extra cognitive space to think up ways to be utterly fucking ridiculous.
I kind of suspect this is going on here in part because of the dog being so very specifically upset that the one cat won’t be friends, despite all the other cats being friends, and also the overcome-with-joy bits: you’ll notice they’re very similar to what makes toddlers randomly cry for no reason.
Where a bulldog doesn’t care about the difference between laminate and hardwood, a husky is just smart enough to get VERY CONCERNED ABOUT HOW THESE ARE SUBTLY DIFFERENT AND POSSIBLY IT MEANS THAT GETTING DOWN WILL BE A TOTALLY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE AAAAAUGH! and get hysterically anxious about it.
“Smarter”, in animals as in humans, does not actually always mean “more sensible.” XD
I was feeling very lonely this evening and now I’m laughing down to my belly so thank you for this post
Study routine challenge : morning owls version
Finally I am back in game with my “long ass posts” although this one’s kinda different from my usual grandma advices, this one’s a routine challenge I’ve been meaning to do for quite a while, so behold : the ultimate morning owls study routine challenge!
Please tag me in your posts pertaining to this challenge because I mostly use tumblr on my phone and it’s difficult to find posts here! Thanks!
The rules :
Follow the routine for straight 30 days (no issues if you miss sometime, I’m probably gonna miss too so it’s all cool)
Post a pic of your work space (no aesthetic required, just a pic of messy notes/coffee /table/pens/your bun/whatever really) and of course tag me!
In your captions mention one goal/task you’re going to achieve/have achieved today no matter how tiny it is (mine will probs be like “finish reading 3 paragraphs” or “rewrite notes ‘x’ topic” or “make flashcards for test”)
Abide by the routine
Be productive :)
The routine :
Wake up time : 6:15am (feel free to modify - our goal is to get up early enough to have time for everything)
Get ready to kick ass by : 6:45am
Study session 1 : 7:10am - 7:40am
Mini food/exercise break : 7.40am - 7:50am
Study session 2 : 7:50am - 8:30am
Break time again : 8:30am - 8:35am
Study session 3 : 8:35am - 9:05am
OR
Wake up time : 6:30am
Study session 1 : 7:00am - 8:00am
Break time : 8:00am - 8:10am
Study session 2 : 8:10am - 9:00am
You could pick any of these schedules, both give you the same time to study aka 110 minutes i.e. around 2 hours. And trust me that’s a great start.
For some reason you need to leave for school/college/work before the schedule finishes, don’t mind at all! You need to be energised for your job first! Try to get the most out of it, but don’t stress a lot!
This is meant to help you, if this stresses you out somehow please don’t follow it. If you want some other version feel free to send me an ask! Thanks ❤

The Study Buddies Project
The Basics:
How does it work?
You simply fill out this form, I get the information and pair you with a studyblr I thin you’d get along with based on what you’ve told me. Then, you get a message from me letting you know who your buddy is.
Why?
Sometimes it’s hard to talk to people. This way, not only is your buddy expecting you but you also know they want to talk to you and become friends. I hope to build lasting relationships where fellow studyblrs can help, advise, support and encourage each other.
How are buddies assigned? What if I don’t get along with my buddy?
I look at hobbies, interests, likes and dislikes, field of study and age as well as the “What You Want” section and find compatible matches. If you guys don’t click though, you can always apply again to get a new buddy.
Is this only for studyblrs?
No, this is aimed at studyblrs but even if you’re not one you can apply. Please note that there is an option for studyblrs to choose to only be paired with studyblrs. This is because I know some study blogs only follow other studyblogs, etc.
Sounds good! how do I join?
Easy! Just reblog this post and complete the form here and I’ll contact you once the pairing has been done.
*PLEASE NOTE: The pairing process will begin on Monday the 19th of February and will be ongoing from then on

Books
Hello, Please if you know great books to read ( English/Dutch) leave them in a comment! My summer break started and i need to wait till i get my grades for my graduation. So i want to read good books ☺️
How to Schedule Your Study Time
I’ve been asked multiple times to make a post about how to schedule your study time, so here it is! This is a little bit different of a schedule because it’s over mid-semester break (Easter break for most), but it still works.
Step 1: Write down everything you need to do.
Get out a piece of notebook paper or open a new document on your computer and unleash your brain’s to-do list. Write everything down from classes, work, events, and extracurriculars to your work outs, meals, showers, and sleep. Nothing is too small to be written on the list, so if you need to remember to shave your legs, write that down!!
Step 2: Assign each task an estimated amount of time it’ll take to complete.
This part is really crucial for me because it takes my organization a step further to help me achieve my studying and planning goals. It also gives me a reality check – sometimes I’m so ambitious I try to bite off more than I can chew. If I know from the beginning that I most likely won’t achieve everything I need to do, I won’t be as disappointed come the end of my planning and studying. It also tells me I probably need to pick it up during the week and stop procrastinating…
Step 3: Open up Excel, create a table on another computer program, or grab a piece of paper.
Next we’ll make the calendar with a readout of our obligations. I generally use Excel or a piece of paper, but I find that excel works best because I can edit future events easier if I didn’t quite complete a task I planned for.
Have the first column for times, then a column following for each day you want to plan. It helps to have the time column skinnier with the days’ columns wider so text can fit in easily. I leave two rows per hour (therefore one line is equal to one half hour) so I can plan for events or tasks that won’t be taking up whole hours.
Step 4: Designate a color for each of your scheduled categories.
These colors are the same as in my planner:
Purple: Anatomy & Physiology
Pink: Genetics
Blue: Beverage Management
Orange: Economics
Red: Work
Green: Extracurriculars
Black: Personal (showers, meals, sleep, relaxation, etc.)
Yellow: Travel
I enter in all of my class, work, event, and extracurricular times first – things I can’t miss. These are important to put into your schedule first because you can easily schedule studying around them.
Step 5: Once all of your obligations are plugged into your schedule, it’s time to fill in your studying.
This is where the required times for your tasks help a great deal! It’s easy to spot an hour block here or there and plug in a 45 minute or hour task… something that may be a little hard for some when they’re just going through their day and have a block. I know whenever I get an hour block I try to nap or rest as much as possible, but this frequently puts me behind. :(
Also, it may help you to pull out your planner and see what exams, quizzes, or assignments are coming up soon. You should rank these at a higher priority and complete these sooner rather than later to ensure you complete them.
I also group lesser tasks; for example, on Thursday night at 11:00 PM I grouped two homework assignments because they really shouldn’t take that long and they’re on the computer at the same time, etc. It’s just easier for me to get them done at the same time. Just like if you need to go to a few different stores, try to go to them all in one trip. It’ll save you time, money, and gas!
Step 6: As you’re adding tasks to your schedule, make sure you’re crossing them off your list you made. You don’t want to miss anything or add something twice!
This is pretty self-explanatory but also important! Make sure you’re adding everything and not missing anything.
Step 7: Make sure to schedule enough sleep during your night as well as time to eat/relax.
This is the most important step of them all! Without recharging your smart little brain and body, how are you going to have the fuel to move on? Also, try snacking on fruits and veggies and drinking water when you’re studying. I’m one to love candy when I’m studying and it’s hard to say “no” to my precious chocolate and skittles, but I know they’ll just bring my metabolism and energy down. Drinking a lot of water helps too because that means more bathroom breaks – which means more study breaks! ;)
I hope you found this post helpful. If you’d like to see other posts about my studying tips and tricks, please share this post and leave me a message about what I can improve or what you’d like some advice on. Happy studying! – grxeek
I’m reblogging this to implement it later
