From X-Men (2021) #6 by Gerry Duggan.
"...but mutant magic, what if that is what's missing here? Everything we've been building here-- mutant circuits, redemption, even resurrection --is about connection. Magic is also fundamentally about connection. With nature, with ourselves, with each other..." - Magik & Rictor, New Mutants #24
This week we continue our goodbyes with the finale of Marauders by Gerry Duggan! Plus a wrap-up of several plot threads in New Mutants #24 and the introduction of the one - the only - Captain Krakoa in X-Men #6!

"In my sorrow, I broke the boy. But I had no idea what he'd do." - Nanny
Hellions #16-18 by Zeb Wells
The promise of Krakoa was one of healing. The Hellions represented that hope and belief that everyone could have a second chance.
Unfortunately, it only highlighted the cracks in the core of Krakoa. Council politics, Mr Sinister, people as pawns. The only thing that mattered was the State.
Our current reading order as we head into the halfway point with Inferno!
This week we say a tearful goodbye to the Hellions as we wrap up their wonderful little series and see if the promise of redemption was fulfilled. Plus, we cover the end of Excalibur by Tini Howard and how its' not-quite-goodbye will be returning to us very soon.

Wolverine (2020) #19 by Benjamin Percy is a homage to Ernest Hemmingway's 1950s novel 'The Old Man and the Sea'. Both man and mutant struggle in the open sea as they wrestle with their own mortality, their own failings, and their own strengths.
Hellions is - was - the team of misfits given a second chance. It was working, too! But Emma had to keep Sinister in check...regardless of the consequences.
Artist Stephen Segovia does an outstanding job showcasing the brutal emotions at the fallout of this betrayal.
Hellions #16 by Zeb Wells.
This week we're covering the leviathan-whale-kraken adventure of Wolverine in #19, the penultimate issue of Marauders and its' slow race to the finish, as well as beginning the final arc of Hellions and the fallout of Emma's plan.

"Pressure. Pressure building in the air. High pressure means fine weather. A beautiful day. But when the storm comes...is when the pressure...suddenly...DROPS." - Storm, SWORD #11 by Al Ewing.
"The "Lethal Legion" is not just a simple terrorist cell. It's the terrorist army of tomorrow -- at a price you can afford today! You're welcome, Stellaris." - Enhancile Catalogue :: "The Lethal Legion" from SWORD #10 by Al Ewing.
This week we're wrapping up Al Ewing's run of SWORD with issues #9 - #11! Does a more space-focused book work in the Krakoan Era? What plans-within-plans does Abigail Brand have? And, perhaps the most important: what comes next?
