Maybe the true dungeon was the meshi we made along the way!
I've been doing photography on and off for a decade, sadly more off than on on because of motivation and other hobbies, but for some reason this picture of two fookin pots located in a beautiful palace that you can't see, is my fave picture I have ever taken. I dunno why, because I have been and seen so many cool things, but I guess it is the lighting and composition are great, which is something I usually struggle with?
What is a coffee table book? Like it’s not just whatever novel or homework book you put on the little table? Is it just some American thing?
I think it's just some rich people thing
they are a rich people thing but they shouldn't be.
a coffee table book is an art book of non-standard size and shape. it won't fit on your bookshelf, because it's meant to be set out for display. most coffee table books are photography, interior design, or art prints, with a little bit of commentary and context to hold them together; they're meant to be leafed through and enjoyed while your host is in the bathroom, or while you're waiting for your tea to steep.
Everyone should get to have this kind of art, but most people don't have a good place to keep it.
would a big book of Far Side comics do?
The rule book for Mork Borg TTRPG is a coffee table book. It is pure art porn and a great conversation piece.

★★★★★ · Historical landmark
So whilst in Greece we rented a boat and went to find unclaimed land and found a cute lil cove linked above. Thinking it was fairly shallow from the sand we could see below the water, we brought the boat close enough to anchor, and with a life jacket, I jumped off the boat into what was clearly very deep and very wavy water. 30 seconds of struggling later, the waves knocked me to land and I realised I had made a mistake, this was a barren wasteland of death. It took me several minutes to push the boat back into sea, and paddle around the back to the ladder to climb aboard and almost pass out from the fatigue of fighting such deep rocky water, even in a vest. Whilst at land we found out that the “beach” I almost drowned at was actually a new un-named plot of land that potentially no one has stepped foot on in a long time, because it is only accessible by boat but is too angled/choppy to dock. I submitted it on Google maps named after me and now it is a historical landmark.
I'm basically famous. Please rate it 5* so it can lure others to their death

In today’s modern society, Riddler would be the EASIEST of Batman’s villains to rehabilitate
All you have to do? Give him a job designing/running an Escape Room facility
It’s perfect for him. A non-violent outlet for feeding his need to flex how intelligent he is, he still gets to create his elaborate puzzles and riddles, and people will willingly PAY HIM to lock them up in a room where he can mess with them for an hour or so
Someone get Bruce Wayne on the phone I have an idea for a thing he should invest in
if you win, and successfully escape the room, you get a sticker that says “i’m as smart as batman”
Some of his escape room reviews
Poison Ivy: Wonderful escape room. Made out with Harley in all the closets.
Tim: I currently hold the record. If anyone beats it, call me. We’re fighting to the death.
Penguin: I broke out of jail for this and it was SO worth it
Jason Todd: I’ve gone at least a dozen times. I’m making a collection of the stickers.
Red Hood: Of course I went. Nothing is going to stop me from getting a sticker that says I’m better than Batman. I said what I said.
Clark Kent: It was a fun way to spend an afternoon and my sticker is now on my desk as a motivational reminder.

“fitted” sheets well why dont they then. why dont they
the most important thing to remember when making a grilled cheese is that you can season the cheese and no one can stop you
second most important thing to remember is that attacks can come from any direction
Tabasco & black pepper make grilled cheeses so good. I'd use Worcestershire sauce, but the veggie versions I tried were naff.
*GASPS* Are you goddamn kidding me??? I fucking hate the lack of infrastructure in my country. God.
Dude if I could take a train 400 miles anywhere I would pay 14 dollars just for a seat, never mind all those amenities. Jeez.
Reasons I remind myself I don’t like my country number who knows what
While this is super cool in and of itself, I’d also like to remind people that modern high speed rail (most of which is in China these days) operates at around 200 miles/hour (China’s fastest train actually operates at 370+ mph but that’s an absolute state of the art maglev, the 200 mph number is average rail speed). If we actually invested in these train systems, you wouldn’t even need an overnight ticket to make a 400 mile trip. To put that in an American context, it would allow you to get from New York to Los Angeles (the famous Cannonball Run taken by car enthusiasts for decades) in about 15 hours, which is 10 hours better than the current Cannonball Run record. With that kind of speed, you could take an evening train halfway across the country (Boston to Chicago would be ~5 hours) for a weekend trip.
Trains are not just more convenient (no driving!), but technologically superior to cars.
In the US Amtrak currently has traincars on the Northeast Corridor that can go up to 160mph but are limited to 60mph (around the same speed cars go on those highways) by lack of updated infrastructure.
What a shame the automotive industry fucked over the US rail/public transport system to sell more of their cars.
