btw, am I the only one that has always pictured Morgan to be like. a sort-of-immortal doppelgänger of Dr Strange? idk why ever since I started the Verania series I've always pictured him like that, and it's gotten worse when I realized Strange's relationship with Peter is just a softer, way less messy version of Morgan's relationship with Sam
just read this unfinished 3-chapters-story i had to write for college last year and i just randomly started crying lmaooo shit got depressing so fast, what was I on ???
this somehow made me want to write it all over again though ? i remember being so suddenly inspired because i wrote it when i was reading A Destiny of Dragons, and I got such a good grade :') if only i'd have the same writing skills i used to have back in 2014 omg

i realized something the other day... after getting my "packpackpack" tattoo with my best friend, i kept getting asked what it means by friends and even locals at work. whenever they would ask, i would answer "it's from a book that brought us together and it means something like family"
yesterday, i was thinking about the fact that the main pack in the Green Creek series is the Bennett pack, and they are very special, because they welcome just everyone and when they call you family (pack), they actually mean it. whether you are human, a witch, or even an omega. i was thinking about the fact that having betrayers in a pack should be a hard thing in their world because, since they share thoughts and feelings, they should just /know/. but that's when it hits me that not all packs are like the Bennett one... we've seen many different ones throughout the series; some that had been broken and that had to find a new leader that wasn't actually made for this, some that were so big that no one actually knew what was going on behind closed doors, some that were just pieces of former packs, turned into omegas, looking for a new home...
we've seen so many dysfunctional packs throughout the series that I forgot that the feeling of well-being, family and home that the Bennett pack brought to the series wasn't actually standard for every pack in the series. sure they are dysfunctional as well, they're not perfect and they've made it perfectly clear, whether it was for the trauma Gordo had to live throughout his whole life, the pain Mark had to endure as well, or the way Thomas kept secrets all his life... they weren't perfect but they had this thing in them that made anyone with good intentions feel safe around.
and after thinking about it, especially because i've been done reading the books for over a year now, it reminds me just how much i love this series. they're not perfect and they're not meant to be. i keep forgetting, but it's not a perfect fairytale. it's about death, trauma, betrayals and even more. it's sad, but it feels like it heals me everytime i read any line from it, or every time i even think about it.
i will never get over how beautiful these books were, truly. i'm so very thankful for them.
