last song: the blue by acid bath — that entire album strangely works to both ‘hype’ me up, and perfect to dissociate to (that’s why i <3 it).
currently reading: i’m currently in the stage of life where i’m re-reading the virgin suicides, which was my favorite movie for a big chunk of my life. i’ve always had a deep morbid fascination with media that shows everything visually being so beautiful, but the bones of it being so grim. so i’m reading and annotating my pink virgin suicides booklet. as well, this book i got around this time last year that i never got to finishing called girls against god by jenny hval — which is about a girl in 90s norway going from christian conservatism to rebelling away from that through the black metal scene at that time, and finding power in witchcraft yet dealing with alienation. i heavily recommend both the virgin suicides and girls against god.
currently watching: unfortunately when it comes to tv shows i’m not exactly the person to go to, i know incredibly niche films, barely any shows — but i am binge watching shameless for the 2356th time. i’ve been watching that show since late middle school/early high school, and it’s strangely become a comfort to me — possibly though because for almost 8 years now my longtime friends and i have joked that our lives are “a cruel way too ongoing episode of shameless”. when it comes to movies though, the strange things that i just finished watching are — in the basement (documentary about people’s basements), superstarlet ad, scorpio rising, and this strange indie film called bad at dancing that i reviewed on letterboxd saying “me and my awkward disposition against the world”.
currently craving: peach rings, i have not had candy in quite awhile but i could probably eat my weight in peach rings if someone asked.
coffee or tea: i’m a both coffee and tea kind of person — floral flavored coffees for if i need to lock in on projects or am out antiquing, but fruit teas for if i’m outside writing my thoughts or manifestations. (sometimes both on days i want to challenge myself for fun).
