ngl i like the diabolik lovers community here rather than the one on tiktok bc i cannot STAND how a lot of the dbl fans on that app speak about Yui but in the same breath praise their favorite Sakamaki brother like they’re not all awful to her in their own ways
don’t get me wrong i love the sakamaki brothers but why don’t they get the same energy and level of hate that yui (who is literally so patient and kind to them even when they treat her like a blood bag) gets??

I love my babies so much and I'm so glad to see myself improving with my art and with mimicking Satoi's style, something I've been trying and wanting to do since I was literally 12.

A 'favorite' canon scene isn't the right word. No, but it's a striking and important one, important enough that I have a variation similar in my one story.
for context, Yui (the MC) passes out while caring for Reiji who is in a coma after a fatal wound. Somehow, the two meet in their dreams, and Reiji is a child in there, and he is as he often was in his youth, alone.
With total knowing, complete understanding, he explains it simply to Yui. Everyone is scared of him. They were scared of him as a child. A CHILD.
Now, I often say how he's my autistic vampire, and here it is again, because he shows it in many moments, including his youth. The other vampires are scared and unsure what to do with him this boy who stared too much, who spoke 'weirdly', who was particular and knew too much about medicine and poisons and plants. Who had little filter to his words.
A, the brilliant young Vampir he was, knew he was 'weird', and image became extremely important to him. In large part, because of his loneliness (brief mention of his mother's neglect to over burden his older brother Shuu).
Se etiquette becomes even MORE important. And we see his character, from the very beginning of the series, is particular. Part of this is genuinely hum feeling this is the proper way, and yet. This is how you act. This is how you hold yourself. He is constantly masking and presenting the ideal him in a lingering fear that he will be all alone, something that he can't take any more of.
Early in the franchise (first Drama CD perhaps?) he is shown as a dichotomy of gentleman and monster, and in a way, the gentleman is a mask, and the monster is simply an extreme, a reaction to gorcing himself into such a mould.
Because really, deep down, he's still that young boy who loved what he was, was genuinely himself, and that was good enough if only others around him could see it.
Can we get a Diabolik AU where Yui ends up going by to the wrong address and goes to the Slendermansion.

Currently thinking about the fact that the only time we see anime Subaru smile is in this official art, and it's his little sadistic smile.
Coming from anime Subaru to HDB Subaru was kind of a shock to me at first because I was like, "Oh right, he's also supposed to be sadistic" they don't portray that part of him that well in the anime like the evil hehe haha sadistic side not the angsty sadistic side I mean.

Todos llevan el mismo uniforme pero una cosa que me parece genial en cuanto al diseño de personajes es cómo lo lleva cada uno, esos pequeños cambios que los hacen tan reconocibles. Peeero, en este caso, Reiji viste el uniforme como debe ser, perfectamente abotonado, sin ninguna arruga y hasta con guantes! ✨ Esto describe perfectamente su personalidad: Reiji es aparentemente caballeroso, educado y muy correcto pero detrás de esa fachada se esconde un lado sádico y una ironía especialmente mordaz 👀 PD: y pensar que cuando vi el anime por primera vez no me gustaba nada, y ahora está en mi top cinco jajaja. Es que mi primer favorito fue Shuu y como tienen sus conflictos pues no estaba siendo muy justa con él u.u
