hey did u know the only reason paraphilias are disordered in any way is because of the way society treats anybeast with those kinds of thoughts . did u know there wouldnt need to be "recovery" for paraphilias if society as a whole didnt stigmatize them (like youre doing rn , by implying theyre damaged and sick and NEED to be hospitalized or seek help) . hey did u also know that paraphile ≠ predator or offender . the vast majority of offenders are not even paraphiles in any way . and the vast majority of paraphiles are not offenders in any way . having a paraphilia , "disordered" or not , does not turn u into an untameable beast that blacks out when in the presence of a child or animal .

you can simply not care about a character's canon gender and/or sex, btw. no one's forcing you to care. your own enjoyment of something matters more than wether or not you're enjoying something "correctly", and anyone who thinks otherwise apparently just hates fun and creativity. your own headcanons and how you view characters are always valid and allowed and don't affect canon at all. and if anyone tries to force you to care about a character's canonical gender and/or sex, just say "i don't care" and move on!
