Existential Crisis Chidi is such a mood right now.
I still can't believe we've just stopped talking about covid. it's so surreal to watch it destroy people's lives and most people have no idea what's happening. I can't believe we're putting kids in the position of getting covid over and over again.
if you have new weird symptoms or conditions popping up seemingly out of nowhere, it could very well be as a result of having had covid. if you're collapsing into bed at the end of your workweek, bone tired, it could be because of having had covid.
it causes multi systemic issues, damages blood vessels and the brain, triggers the development of chronic conditions and autoimmune diseases and more. pots and mcas are really common. symptoms can look a lot of ways because the impact of covid is multi systemic.
I know this is alarming. but I gotta say, having had postviral illness for many years, getting started on treating these things has improved my quality of life significantly. there is no cure for a lot of it, but life can still be made better with the right medicine.
And even non medication treatment! Half of people with long covid have ME/CFS, and learning to stay inside your energy envelope with ME/CFS pacing can substantially reduce many people's symptoms! For medications worth trying for me/cfs and other useful info, check out the Bateman Horne center: https://batemanhornecenter.org/education/me-cfs/

There's a tropical storm that's gaining speed and power. They say we haven't had a storm this bad since You took out that tender ship of mine in the North Atlantic last year. Sixty-eight crew. You know what a tender ship does? Fixes the other ships. It doesn't even carry guns. It just goes around, fixes the other ships and delivers the mail. That's all it can do. Gratias tibi ago, Domine Yes, I lied. It was a sin. I've committed many sins. Have I displeased You, You feckless thug?
AOC slays.
There are 2 things every girls wants to know: 1st - that a man really loves her and 2nd - that he’s never going to stop.
You've said that vagina owners tend to take around 20 minutes to orgasm, but I've heard (from an abstinence based sex lecture, so I don't really trust the source) that most couples only have about 8 minutes of sex a week. And I'm just kind of confused?
Let’s break this down in numbers:
(note that these numbers are averages and if they don’t reflect you personally that’s totally okay)
It takes a person with a penis, on average, about 2-5 minutes of stimulation to orgasm.
It takes a person with a vagina, on average, around 20 minutes of stimulation to orgasm.
The average penis-in-vagina intercourse lasts around 7 minutes (probably the number your teacher was working with, although you can definitely have the sexytimes more than once a week)
What does this all add up to?
FOREPLAY IS DAMN IMPORTANT.
Don’t talk shit about people’s teeth. Seriously.
Speaking as a major dental hygiene enthusiast…
Great-looking teeth come from two things: luck and money (which is also a function of luck).
Dental procedures tend to be very, very expensive, and are almost never covered by insurance.
Healthy teeth aren’t necessarily big, straight or bright white. Depending on what someone’s natural teeth are like, achieving that look may require a significant downgrade in their dental health; unnecessary crowns and veneers cause damage.
Do not underestimate genetics’ role in determining teeth’s appearance, or how prone teeth are to problems. Genes and early development, i.e. things people get zero control over, can outweigh all else.
A wide range of chronic conditions impact oral health and teeth’s appearance, too, and may contraindicate various types of work or raise procedures’ cost even more.
Finally, for many people and many reasons, celebrity-looking teeth just aren’t a priority (even when they’re attainable; some people might want, y’know, a new car instead).
Regardless, don’t be an asshole. Not even very attractive teeth look good on those.
hey so while i’m thinking about grease again the main complaint i have with any adaptation is that they keep putting rizzo alone onscreen for “worst things i could do.” like yeah i get the visual symbolism but the thing is, onstage that song is supposed to be sung to sandy. it kinda takes away from the IMPACT of the last verse if sandy’s not there to hear it.
“To say that straight men are heterosexual is only to say that they engage in sex (fucking exclusively with the other sex, i.e., women). All or almost all of that which pertains to love, most straight men reserve exclusively for other men. The people whom the admire, respect, adore, revere, honor, whom the imitate, idolize, and form profound attachments to, whom they are willing to teach and from whom they are willing to learn, and whose respect, admiration, recognition, honor, reverence and love they desire… those are, overwhelmingly, other men. In their relations with women, what passes for respect is kindness, generosity or paternalism; what passes for honor is removal to the pedestal. From women they want devotion, service and sex. Heterosexual male culture is homoerotic; it is man-loving.”

It's nice to know we had it all.
Thanks for watching as I fall.
And letting me know we were done.
