New sandman s2 episode idea: John Dee comes back, explicitly states he’s learned his lesson and opens an orphanage. Everyone on cast shows up to smile and nod with teary-eyed approval despite zero reason for them to be emotional. The whole redemption scene takes 5 minutes, except for the tears which drag out another 5 minutes as we pan over each character’s face. Alex “Babyface” Burgess also looks on from the dreaming and says “Live, Laugh, Love.” He takes his white wife’s hand (he’s straight now) and walks back into the dreaming, happy forever.
