Last night, we held a private event for the International Fashion Group of Boston in preparation for our Sample Sale being held today at the Boston showroom until 8PM. Drinks were provided by Coastal New England winery and there was an array of appetizers to snack on. All of this and our special guests had a pre-sale opportunity to snag designer pieces from Sisco + Berluti, Jessica Hicks, Eddera and Gypsies + Debutantes...just to name a few. I don’t know about you, but here at SUCCARRA we are so excited about the 2012 Olympics! With all the controversy surrounding Ralph Lauren’s Olympic uniforms, the opening ceremony excitement just keeps building. Made in China or not, we can’t wait to see our favorite athletes sporting this year's uniform.
Whether you’re excited to see Ryan Lochte compete against Michael Phelps or just stoked to see them in their bathing suits, you will definitely be tuned in all summer long. Just think of all the Olympic themed parties we get to attend in the coming weeks.
Which begs the question: what to wear? Here at SUCCARRA we came up with some patriotic fashions that will score you a gold medal for best dressed!
Music Monday: Picture, Sheryl Crow & Kid Rock
Remember this epic duet? We loved it then, and we still love it now. It's as if you don't remember how good it is until it pops on the radio and you find yourself belting it out with your best friend! So grab your nearest pal and pump up the tunes, this song is a sure sign of a great Monday...
Monday Style Maven: Accessorizing Street Style
One Tumblr that we came across and fell in love with is Street Style. The name sounds basic, but the blog is anything but! Providing us with a multitude of pictures featuring off-the-runway models (men and women included) striking their best street style poses, it's hard keep our envy at bay. With this amazing shot we paired some unique pieces from our very own designers that we thought would be ideal to accompany her look. Adding a lick of jeweled frosting can make all the difference! It's impossible to go wrong with designer jewelry, don't you agree? If you want these pieces for yourself, make sure to check out their sites...

Throwback Thursday: Colored & Patterned Blazers
Blazers are a retro trend that started their comeback subtly, and now they’re here with full force! This versatile item can transform an ensemble from ordinary to extraordinary in the blink of an eye. We started seeing them in the 80’s when it was all about parachute pants, big shoulders and asymmetrical haircuts, and while it seems like all of these trends have resurfaced in some ways, blazers have come back even better than before! With a wide variety of silhouettes and colors to choose from, the blazer trend is one craze that can’t be stopped. If you want to rock a blazer for summer, look for a bright pop of color or a funky pattern to make your look really stand out. This hot item can be worn with boyfriend jeans, graphic t-shirts, high heels, cigarette pants, mini-skirts and anything in between. The choice is yours! We love this retro fad and we’re so glad it's back. What are you wearing your blazer with?

Weekend Wednesday: Affordable & Fun Ideas For Your Upcoming Weekend
When you’re making plans for the weekend it’s always a challenge to come up with something that’s just as affordable as it is fun. It seems as if the majority of plans made revolve around spending money. Whether it’s a night out for Mexican and margaritas with your closest girl friends, a movie date to catch the newest flick, or an afternoon spent at the latest exhibit or museum, everything seems to cost money these days. Well look no further, ladies and gents! Today we’re going to give you three ideas for weekend plans that are fun, simple and wallet friendly…
1. Take a picnic to a park- It sounds extremely cliché, but a picnic in the park can be a great time! Get a group of friends together and come up with a menu. Each guest can pack one item that they can cook using what they already have stocked in their kitchen. This way it saves money and time. Don’t forget the afternoon cocktails! Once you have your food and drink menu planned, pick a time and place (Boston Commons or Central Park?) And meet up for a lovely afternoon filled with full stomachs and fun times.
2. Plan a movie night- This idea is a classic! Movie nights are always a good festivity. Part of the enjoyment is just spending time with the people you love most, whether you’re talking through it or actually watching the film. Make some simple snacks like popcorn, trail mix, cookies or brownies, pick out a classic drama or a new Redbox hit for only a dollar, and snuggle up on the couch for a cozy night in!
3. Game night- Yep, I’m talking about a legit, old-fashioned game night. Monopoly, Life, Clue, Trouble, Charades, Pictionary, Taboo…the whole clan is invited! Many people don’t realize how enjoyable board games are until they’re actually playing them. Forget about the games of your college years and transition back to childhood entertainment! Grab a drink and snacks, invite a big group of people over and circle around the table for a fun night and great memories!
Tired of spending too much money in the city? Well don't fret any longer! Boston.com posted an amazing article giving us 25 things to do under 25 dollars. All these ideas are fabulous and sure to give you a good time! Take a look...

One song that is topping the charts and continuously remaining in our heads is the new Gotye hit Somebody That I Used To Know. This catchy tune has a unique beat that we just can't seem to shake! With the the male and female vocals harmonizing in Indie perfection, it's sure to be a summer favorite.
