me having to stand there with a straight face while my coworkers throw around terms like "schizo" and "schiz" to refer to "crazy" people and pretending like I don't literally have a sister with schizophrenia 😶

ive been thinking yk what no matter how much people give me compliments, call me pretty and stuff, it doesnt matter i still feel hideous so what if i like cut up all my face and leave it scarred so people leave me alone and then they will know how i feel on the inside
Two things.
1: a TikTok comment I saw on a video about how harmful it is to assume all schizophrenic people are dangerous monsters who are going to hurt you that said “someone I know was sch*zo, and she was the dangerous kind” and then went on to describe how said person would hurt them.
2: also from TikTok, a comment on a video from someone with POCD saying “if you think that way about kids you shouldn’t be around them. You’re going to hurt someone”.
These are both saneism.
i have schizotypal personality disorder and i feel very accustomed to hearing the following: "Are you on drugs?" "do you need to go to a mental asylum?" "schizo" "you seem unhealthy, this isn't okay" "you're making me uncomfortable" "you're creepy"

every time someone says a completely abled person just lashing out is having a "schizo meltdown" an angel GETS FUCKING MURDERED

one of my friends likes to go "LOL IM NOT SCHIZO GUYS I SWEAR IM NOT SCHIZO IM NOT SCHIZO" while laughing hysterically despite knowing damn well I show psychotic traits and my husband is schizophrenic
