The Old Guard Trigger ⚠️

Because of recent events, I feel like a trigger warning is needed for those who are Naya Rivera fans who decide to watch The Old Guard on Netflix.

Honestly, the film is amazing and I highly recommend it but there's a semi graphic drowning scene that left me shaking with grief.

Spoilers

It happens probably 40mins in. A woman is put into a metal coffin with holes in it and then dropped into the ocean. But since she's immortal she dies, her body heals itself and then drowns again. It's horrifying and very painful to watch.

I’m guessing Sugar won’t be there for the TT reunion because she already went back to the future. But I bet when she was little, she used to watch the recordings of the Reno performances over and over again (it’s one of the last recordings of her moms and Aunt Mercedes performing together before they went their separate ways). And after Sugar comes back from the past, she looks at those videos again with newfound wonder because she got to see her younger moms and Aunt Mercedes in their prime and got to know them as friends, watching them struggle to get out of Lima, and couldn’t be prouder knowing how hard they worked to get to Reno to achieve their dreams together…
