hey friend, do u have any recommendations for other good fat positive blogs? i need to fill up my feed with more fat positivity real bad )-:
Awww, oh no! <:c I’m so sorry you’ve been experiencing a lot of fatphobia lately. I really hope seeing a bunch of fat positivity will help!!! I don’t follow a ton of blogs on here compared to my personal blog since fat positivity can sometimes be difficult to find. It’s also difficult because looking at fat-related tags can often make you face a ton of fatphobes, fat fetishists, thinspo blogs, you name it. I try to look through the tags and reblog from them so that other people don’t have to. If you want to look at fat-related tags, I suggest only looking at recent posts rather than “most popular.” There’s less of a chance of dealing with fatphobes that way. For fat positive blogs, I follow almost 100 blogs on here, but about half of them don’t post anymore. I followed the inactive blogs to help me remember to reblog more from them later. I went through my list of follows though and got a list of fat positive blogs you might like!!
I know of one blog that has posted a lot of good fat positivity for intersex people specifically, which is @n-o--v-a. I don’t know much about her blog besides the fat, intersex, PCOS, and LGBTQ+ positivity though. I’ve reblogged a lot from her, but I bet she has a lot more fat positive posts!
Artists who post fat positive drawings:
@thepeachbite, @thelatestkate, @litttletom, @evaduplanart, @mayakern, @zoskyto-art, @orquidia, @whimsipop, @makeshiftlove, @jijidraws, @sugarkittea, @sergle, and @prancing-pixie. All of these artists still have active blogs and most of them draw mainly fat characters. Some of them post daily even!
Actual fat science/eating disorder recovery blogs:
@bigfatscience, @heavyweightheart, and @recoverymeme. All of them post about eating disorders, and the first two also post a lot about the real science around weight. All three blogs are fat positive too. Recoverymeme is currently the only blog I know of that’s genuinely for eating disorder recovery, cares about fat people, and isn’t a disguised thinspo blog. Bigfatscience is general fat-related science while Heavyweightheart posts about both fat science and eating disorders.
Fat positive cosplay blog:
@quartzturtlecosplay. Really nice person and very great at cosplay!
Blogs where fat people post positive pictures of themselves:
@plussizeneverlookedsogood, @cupcakesloveme, @lisalamb, @projectkathy,
Informational blogs about fatphobia (though other blogs listed post about fatphobia too):
@fatphobiabusters and @thisisthinprivilege.
Blogs purely for others’ positive pictures and art of fat people:
@my-big-fat-aesthetic-blog, @chubbycluby, @marshmallooooooow, @fabulouslyfatworld, @tessa-jane-grace, and @fuckyeahfatpositive.
General fat positive blogs that post a variety of content (kind of like my blog):
@fatandlikeitlikethat, @fine-ass-fatshion, @chubb-e-cheese (some NSFW), @windgoddess03, @fat-positive, @fat-and-sapphic, @fatfemmelove, @fantasiahippo3, @thyccandtyred, and @chubby-n-happy.
Keep in mind that I do reblog from these blogs, so you might see their posts a lot on your dashboard if you follow them x’D I seriously hope this helps!! These blogs are still active as of September 9th, 2020. Thank you so much for sending me an ask! cx
