Help me fight cancer!

Hello everyone! I'm battling Stage 2 Hodgkin's Lymphoma and officially start chemo on Monday (Dec. 22nd). I'm scheduled every two weeks until the end of May for treatments, because my cancer wound up being more aggressive than initially thought.

Even though I have financial assistance, I still owe a percentage of every visit. It's adding up, and I haven't even started treatment.

I started a GoFundMe to help my medical costs and travel.

Hey everyone, long time no update.

I've been fine but I've been working a lot and mentally completely checked out but I do have some good news:

I finished chemo today!!! 🎉🎉🎉

I won't find out for another 6 weeks whether or not I'm cancer free, but I'm very hopeful that I am. I was already showing an amazing response to the chemo after my 2nd round, so I'm hoping the 4 rounds I completed after that were enough to wipe it all out.

Feels kind of bittersweet, honestly. I know i should be celebrating but I can't bring myself to really be excited about it until I know for sure I'm cured. My friends are taking me to lunch tomorrow to celebrate a little and I got myself Hayley William's tickets for September so there's something to look forward to, but I'll still be wary for a while.

Thank you to everyone that has helped me so far!! I am still not out of the woods, medically or financially, but I'm surviving.

had my 9th chemo session this morning. I only have 3 more after this.

I hate the nurse I had. Shes the same one that kept missing my port last time she was my nurse and made me go get a port evaluation done because she swore to high heaven that it was backwards. It wasn't. It's just tilted to the left and I told her that but "shes been doing this a long time" so she knows best. $30,000 procedure to prove nothing was wrong thank God I have partial financial aid until September or else that would've all been out of pocket.

Today, she checked my blood work for whatever reason and decided that my liver levels were too high and I needed to get more blood work done to make sure I could handle the meds. Mind you, I saw my doctor on Thursday when I had my blood work done and she said it was a little elevated but nothing to worry about especially this late in treatment. It's only slightly above the threshold to be considered liver damage and my doctor said it will typically reverse once the meds are stopped.

So instead of having a 3 hour chemo session, it took 6 hours. All i looked forward to during treatment was an empanada from the bakery at the hospital, and by the time i was done they were closed. I wasted my entire day off in the clinic. By the time I left I was at peak benadryl drowsiness so I got home and knocked out. Now I can't sleep again and I feel like someone beat me up.

Thank god I only have 3 more sessions. They better not assign her to me again.

Im so tired of having cancer. Im so tired of treatment and chemicals. The days after chemo feel like my body is actively falling apart. And then to make it worse I have to go to work and pretend that I'm not in agony. I feel like shit. My last session is at the end of May, but thats so far away.
