I have friends that want to get into sugaring and as I started writing important tips I learned (some the hard way), I realized other ladies getting in the bowl could always benefit from some of these tips. You may already know these things or you may not, but here are just some things I’ve done/found helpful:
1. Fake name, home destination (unless you’re willing to host), phone number, and possible occupation. Delete yourself from the internet. Do not send pictures that are on your personal social media ESP if it’s an open profile. Never sync contacts with personal social media or sugar social media. You don’t want some of these “SDs” finding your real name. If I have to explain why to you, don’t sugar.
2. Set aside certain days/evenings for your sugaring. I try to keep one day a week per SD, unless they’re traveling SDs then that can be more sporadic. It just makes things easier when balancing multiple SDs/work/school etc.
3. WARDROBE. Most of the older men on the site want a clean, well dressed woman. Remember if you look expensive they’ll know what to expect in terms of financial obligations
4. Sugar persona. Decide who she will be. Is she the princess type or the girl next door? Is she outgoing and bubbly or the intellectual and mature type? This persona will greatly vary between SDs as well. Cater to who he is, play who he wants you to be and what he’s missing in his life, but most importantly, do what comes NATURAL. If it’s not natural it’ll be that much more exhausting to be with your SD, and being with him (unless you are v lucky) will be work.
5. Three words: Little. Black. Book. If you have multiple SDs this is even more important. Write down each POT, screenshot their profiles. Make sure you have notes on their likes, dislikes, occupation, address, things they’ve given you, allowance offers, family members names, etc. This will make it soooo much easier on you than remembering each little thing about someone you may not care that much about. That way, before you go on a date, refresh your notes. It’ll be that much easier to strike up conversation and seem interested in them if you know what conversation points to hit.
6. Slow down. Talk slower, you won’t trip over your words. Eat slower, you won’t be messy or appear savagery. Walk slower, you won’t trip over your shoes. You are a luxury. Good things take time.
7. Get in the habit of exfoliating and moisturizing daily if you don’t already.
8. Own a sugar purse. It doesn’t have to be anything designer (though nothing like a big YSL to paint a picture of who you are and what you require), even ones from Aldo can be classy if you dress them well. What I carry in my sugar purse is different from my vanilla purse. Vanilla purse: ID, credit cards, lip balm, headphones, mini perfume, blotting papers. Sugar purse: NO ID/CREDIT CARDS. Nothing with your name on it if you sugar under an alias. Continued.. travel size perfume, mouth spray, blotting papers, headphones, compact, lipstick, $50-100 cash, hand sanitizer & cream, lip balm, portable charger. The portable charger saved my life on many occasions. Just less fussy than finding a cord and an outlet and leaving your phone possibly unattended.
9. Turn off Bluetooth on dates. You don’t need it showing up on ANY devices saying “Sara’s phone” when you said your name was Chanel.
10. Sugar playlist. My SD lives 45mins away and he’s old and just not something I always look forward to. The sugar playlist has songs that are money based, songs that remind you that you’re that bitch and you deserve to be treated as a luxury. It just helps put me in the mindset to slip into my sugar persona and finesse cash outta these men. Some on my sugar playlist: “Glamorous” - Fergie, “Bitch Better Have My Money” - Rihanna, “Luxurious” - Gwen Stefani. Go with that kind of vibe and you’ll be set 👌🏽
11. Make a financial goal for yourself. Why do you want a SD? Why are you on SA? Answer these questions for yourself. Then answer them again as your sugar persona with a more “appealing” answer. You need to support yourself through school, you need money for rent and don’t get enough hours working, you would rather get to date and handsome man and spend more time with him than slaving away at a minimum wage job, etc. Play to his likes, you’ll know what angle to go with.
12. Do not get in a car with a POT. Do not let them pick you up/uber you from where you live.
13. Find places in your city you’ve always wanted to go to but can’t rationalize spending on. Make these places your POT dates. They should be expensive. They should be classy. See how much he will spend on you.
14. Don’t get drunk on POT dates. It opens you up to being taken advantage of and you may let something slip you don’t want to.
15. Phone on silent/vibrate, notifications turned off. You don’t want any POT or SD seeing your texts from family, friends or other SDs pop up on your phone. Don’t text on dates. The only text you should send is to your trusted contact of where you are, and MAKE SURE to say to SDs/POTs, “Sorry I’m just letting my roommate/friend know where I am and that I’m okay.” If possible, say that someone is expecting you later. This will let your SD know people are looking out for you.
16. Don’t trust that just because they invite you to their apartment/house/condo they are trustworthy. Airbnbs exist. It’s easy to fake a residence. Same thing with cars. These aren’t reliable character checks.
17. Know your desired allowance. Look in the mirror, say it out loud and confidently. You deserve that amount. You will receive that amount. Don’t compromise, you aren’t a bargain.
18. If your SD wants you to be “exclusive” and you have no desire to do so, block him on SA/tinder/wherever you met and say you deleted the profile just for him. Continue your cash grab.
19. Probiotic supplements. Condoms. STI checks. Fluconazole is the generic canesten pill. Sea sponges can be used on your period (after disinfection) if you want to have sex without bleeding everywhere. Carry a little lube on you and apply it right before getting with your SD. Be kind to your pussy. You’ve only got one.
20. And of course… NO MONEY NO HONEY. Get the bills before you do ANYTHING. This includes sexy phone calls, this includes sexy pictures, this includes him copping a feel. Get the money FIRST. Basic sw rule. You don’t want to suck a dick and then have him say oh next week, I’m short on cash today and then next week never happens and you’ve just sucked dick for free. If you wanted that you could just vanilla date fuckboys, and you are better than that.
