Happy New Year to all! This month is all about pastries! So look for that. In other news I think I am gonna actually use some of my off time to get on the slopes! I can ski but never went snowboarding. That should be interesting for sure. Anyways I how are you all doing?

Happy new year!! That sounds like a great idea, snowboarding is a lot of fun. Especially when the instructors are so cute. I’m doing good thanks, looking forward to those pastries now!

I’m glad the good won out. My night was a lot of fun, thanks. I didn’t end it throwing up like last year so that’s always a bonus.

I wanted to cut out junk food. At least for the first few months to work on getting fitter and stuff. Totally busted it already, Doritos just get me every time. Did you make any resolutions? 

A few Doritos don’t seem like the end of the world. You’re still hot and you gotta treat yourself sometimes. No, no resolutions for me. I couldn’t think of anything I wanted to change.

Probably not a big deal to any of you, but I got one of my pitches to BuzzFeed Longform approved, which means I will be writing an article that will be published on BuzzFeed! This is by far the biggest publication/media platform I’ve gotten to write for, so I’m pretty stoked about it. Maybe this year won’t turn out so bad after all.

So the New Year’s Eve party sure was eventful. Thanks to everyone for the talks, dances and well, the rest. It certainly has been a long time since I’ve experienced such a headache as I did on the 1st. So how is everyone?

So was it a good eventful or bad eventful? I hope you’re feeling better now though. I’m great thanks, 2021 is definitely off to a good start.

“When you’re the person that you are, it’s no surprise that you are popular among the masses,” Tina chuckled lightly. Young Tina would hate getting half of the attention Sugar got, and present Tina was just happy with the level of popularity she was experiencing herself. Sometimes it was just best to stick to the same two or three people throughout the night. “Whoa there, not at all once. I won’t make it to midnight,” she laughed as she waved her hands to signal ‘no’. Karaoke was always something that Tina thoroughly enjoyed, so at least that was something to look forward to. “Maybe I’ll find the Troy to my Gabriella on that karaoke machine tonight.” She perked up an eyebrow and gave Sugar a look when she attempted to play clueless, her face changing to a smirk when her friend gave up the act. “A boy?” she asked in a high pitch, as if they were tweens giving each other the latest gossip. “The boy who’s head over heels for you? Are you head over heels for him?”

“Thanks girl.” Sugar smiled, taking another sip of her drink. She loved attention, thrived on it even. Whilst her family’s money had put her on top, she certainly worked hard at keeping herself there. “No, not all at once. But definitely before midnight.” Sugar added before laughing at Tina’s High School Musical reference. “Yes, I love that for you!” She loved seeing her friends happy and if there was anything she could do to help that along, she definitely would. “I don’t know about him, but I wouldn’t say I’m head over heels just yet.” She laughed. “But he’s super cute and good in bed so I’m making the most of that whilst I can.” Sugar smiled. She was trying not to get too attached, given that she’d be leaving the resort soon and they’d have to go their separate ways. But it was proving hard with how much fun she was having. “What about you? Any potential Troys on the horizon for you?” She asked, trying to get her thoughts off leaving before she got too down, it was a New Years Eve party after all.

Finally, I have some time off this afternoon and tomorrow morning and I really can’t wait to relax. Things have been insane at the resort, I feel like I haven’t had time to myself since the New Year. How’s everyone else’s week going so far? 2021 starting off busy as hell for you guys too?

Do you have any plans for your time off? I’m still on vacation so it’s a no on the busy front for me.

Mike was making his way off of the dancefloor where he had spent the majority of his evening so far. He went to the bar to get a drink and to catch his breath as he looked out onto the people with a smile. Mike had really been looking forward to celebrating New Year’s Eve with everyone at the resort. Earlier that day, he had thought back on the times he had visited the resort with his family, but he couldn’t recall having celebrated New Years Eve at the resort before. So this was a first. 

Mike was dressed in a white shirt with a few buttons buttoned up, semi-formal pants, that hugged his thighs (and butt) beautifully and a pair of black trainers. Mike thanked the bartender for his drink, taking a sip more before leaving the bar area. After having danced he felt like he needed a bit of fresh air, therefore he made his way outside. Opening the door he, it only took seconds before he was greeted by Sugar. He smiled at her and raised his glas slightly to gesture a cheers. “Hey Sugar - Happy new year!” he said with a laugh. She might be right, that they didn’t get to see each other before jumping into the new year, with all these people around. “So far I’m having a pretty good night if I have to say so. I love how everyone is in such a good mood! And I’ve had some pretty solid dance battles on the dancefloor so far”, he said, pointing to back inside. “What about you?”, he asked. 

Sugar smiled, raising her own glass up at Mike in response to his cheers gesture. “Well a pretty good night sounds fun.” She commented with a smile. “Everyone’s in a good mood because they’re drunk, and alcohol makes everyone fun.” She laughed, taking the chance to take another sip of her champagne. “Dance battles sound fun too, maybe you and I should have a dual later, because I can totally beat your ass out there.” Sugar teased. Well half-teased, she may not be able to sing but she was a lot better at dancing. “I’m having a good night myself.” Sugar nodded. “It’s so nice being able to see everyone and hang out at the same time.”

Mercedes smiled seeing Sugar in her element. The girl loved to party and it showed, she was also very great at throwing parties that everyone enjoyed. Mercedes heard her speak and smiled going to hug the girl. “Happy New Year Sug! Yeah I am having a blast! I actually got on stage this time which is a shock in itself. And everyone here seems to be having a great time I say you outdid yourself boo! Be proud!”

“Thanks!” Sugar grinned, enthusiastically returning Mercedes’ hug. Sugar definitely fell into the happy girl drunk category, and she was a few drinks in, giving her a nice buzz already. “I saw you up there, you killed it girl! Like seriously, you were amazing.” Sugar knew deep down that she didn’t have any real musical talent, but Mercedes certainly did. “Maybe if we sing together then you’ll even make me sound good.” She joked.

Tina usually always appreciated a good New Year’s Eve party where she could just be around a bunch of people she liked and let loose so she could start off the new year truly feeling happy. This time, however, she was walking around feeling slightly anxious because she felt conflicted about her feelings for Brittany. Regardless, no matter what happened tonight, she tried her best to keep that smile on her face and hope that when midnight rolls around, she’d still have a good time.

She stepped into the party wearing a simple, yet formal off-shoulder black dress with her hair tied up, immediately spotting Sugar. “Hey Sugar,” she grinned as she opened up her arms and wrapped them around her friend. “You do tend to disappear throughout the night, so smart thinking getting that in now.” Tina let out a small laugh as she pulled away from the hug. “I definitely need a glass of champagne, but I’m doing fine so far.” She spotted Brittany at the corner of her eye, suddenly getting a little fidgety. “So, how’s it going with you? You seem extra smiley these days.”

Sugar hugged Tina back with one arm, keeping her drink balanced in the other. She’d had years of practicing at endless social networking events so she pulled it off without spilling a drop. “What can I say? I’m just too popular.” Sugar laughed. She did tend to get swept up at New Years events, especially when she was on the hunt for someone to kiss at midnight. Though she had a feeling that wouldn’t be such a concern for her this year.

“A glass? It’s New Years, you need at least four glasses.” Sugar joked. “Actually it’s New Years with karaoke, you might want to make it five or six.” She added. She thought she saw Tina getting weird but was quickly distracted by the change in conversation. If there was one thing she loved talking about, it was herself. “Things are good with me. Extra smiley? I don’t know what you’re talking about, I always smile this much.” She lied, a laugh escaping her lips a second later. “Fine, there might be a boy.” Sugar admitted, taking a sip of her drink in an attempt to hide her smile behind the glass.

The resort’s New Years Eve party was usually one of the highlights of the season for Sugar, and tonight was turning out to be no different. That was hardly a surprise though, Sugar loved any and every opportunity to get dressed up in her best party clothes, drink a lot of alcoholic drinks and dance the night away.

There were a few hours to go before midnight and she decided to take a break from the noisy hustle and bustle of the bar. Sugar stepped outside for some air, standing under one of the heaters as she sipped her drink and stared out at the snow. A short time later, she heard the door open and a familiar voice followed.

“Oh, hey!” Sugar smiled as she turned round to greet the newcomer. “Happy new year! I know it’s early but I’m saying it now in case I don’t see you again later. So, are you having a good night?”

Sugar: Well he tried that last time, someone came to his damn door.

Sugar: I just can't catch a break.

Sugar: Was your sex good at least? Maybe I can live through you instead.

Santana: You've got to be kidding me? That's like the third time now.

Santana: When it comes to universe and signs, sex is the exception. A lot of outsider influence can play a part to prevent it from happening.

Santana: Though with that being said, I had sex with Finn last night and that would mean we've now done it the same amount as you've attempted to with Ryder.

Santana: What happened?

Sugar: Right?! So like is it a sign? I still think the curse is a viable option. Maybe I pissed off a witch without even realising it.

Sugar: Oh my god.

Sugar: This is so not fair, but at least one of us is getting some.

Sugar: My assistant called me with a work emergency that they needed me to deal with.
