so uh.
we are not enjoying the connections arc anymore. it's gone on far too long, and atp it feels like i cant write suit at all. and i miss writing suit a LOT. it was fun
so. we (me&, trinket mod, and connections mod) have agreed to retcon the arc, and bring back pre-arc suit. any mentions of the arc will, in character, be ignored and treated as if it never happened.
in other words: the old suit is BACK baby!! i have no idea what that'll mean for the future of the blog, but from now on ill probably stick to relationship drama and the like.

[There was a knock at the door. Even while concerned, Pips tried to be polite and not barge in without permission.]

* A serene smile from you greets them, plastered on in moments, artfully fake but nearing the edges of being real, just missing that mark and only looking like a simulacrum, a grimace altered. The pinned you, tail curled up, the injuries and body language belay someone who is in a bad situation.
* i stand dumbly—looking dumb, feeling dumb. my head still throbs with the pain of untreated injuries, arms stiff at my side. i feel useless, useless, useless to help. there's visible relief crossing my features to have another person involved, cause im not sure what to do about this. i struggle to collect my thoughts, standing ramrod straight, tail wrapped stiffly around myself.
U-uuhm— P-Pips, dear….? Could-Could you do me a favor an-and try and see i-i-if you can patch Suit up…..? P-Please..

[Pips stayed silent for a couple of seconds, trying to process the situation. Deciding to just not think about it too hard, she nodded and came in.]
[He grabbed Suit by his arm and sat him down on the couch. It looked him up and down, analyzing the severity of the injuries.]
...do you have any food? you need to be healed up.

* i lean back thinking. this building is so strange... the changes made to it leaving me dazed, directionless. i can't remember where anything is. i look around, trying to think up where there might be any food.
there... should be some in that cabinet, cabinet, i believe.
* i point towards a cabinet, unusually fused into a bar—it looks similar to what rambs bar looked like in a now bygone era.
* You have no more point to pretend here, so, why not put on a show, so, why not drop the guise that you've worn, ill fitting yet not. Slowly, flesh begins to slough off into the watercolors that made it, staining the floors below, and a single baleful eye stares, the scribbles shifting, the surroundings clouded with noxious smog, red and black flooding the area. No neck left for it to hold.
* And freed from a grasp, you rise, the jittering of a form barely existing. And you speak, the echo of applause in the hallow and hollow tones that make up pleasantries and words.
What a show, don't you think?
< As the “Suit’s” flesh began to melt off of it, they scrambled off with a yelp, falling backwards and hitting their head with a loud THUNK! As it rose, their mouth ran agape, mind finding itself hollow. >

< Trinket practically screamed at the disgusting figure, tears flying from them as they pointed an accusatory finger after standing. >

[Making a mental note of the cabinet for later, Pips stood up and ran up to Trinket.]
[They weren't sure what was happening, but that thing seemed dangerous and they needed to get Trinket to safety.]
[It grabbed them by the hand and pulled them away from Connections, onto the same couch that Suit was on.]

< As Trinket was grabbed, they lifted a hand up with the intention to HURT. Moments before doing so, their mind had the realization that the grab was to help, not harm. Afterwards, it froze up, breathing being one of the only audible noises in the room. >
< The next moment, they found themself burying its face into Pips’ chest, absolutely sobbing. >
< Damnit, their head hurt.. >

* You peer, an eye staring, advancing forwards, the smudges and the discarded pieces that make a form blurring through the canvas that make a world. And then, you speak, eye staring, prompting, nigh mocking. The white and the red becoming a consuming abyss. Predatory, stalking, as the newest arrival here is stared out, and then at the one who came first, not the one you had shaped.
You've came, because you need to feel like you are worth something. A sympathy that'll drain you dry. You, caught in a tangled mess of emotions, you don't even like them anymore. Secrecy revealed. And so, you're here to soothe your burned heart, are you not?
And you, selfish, selfish, selfish. Here for your love, aware that the way you feel is different at the core then theirs, you won't ever be able to make things how they were, you won't reach the one you love.

hm... the head, heads the worst of it. but my mouth stings too, too. too.
* i wrap an arm around myself, applying pressure to the slightly bloody puncture wound in my side. it doesnt ease the pain, if anything it makes it worse, but its still nice in a way.
but im ok! really, its not so bad. i can handle it.

Before it looked back, the smile was already gone. The delight at the play being held carefully tucked away inside. The reverie here, not at all lucid. Entraps and fester as it rots here. This is a burning memory afterall.
* You get up, and slowly approach, nodding at me, before kneeling before it, and placing a clawed hand on its shoulder. The metal claws digging in slightly as the hand rests on it. A tail curling around the small pippins here from the thing that only looks like a pippins. A cold comfort.
* for a moment, im confused. why are they upset? whats going on? did something happen? did i do something wrong-wrong-wrong?
* but when you nod i snap out of it, walking up to them and doing the same- theres a distinct gentleness when my hand rests on trinkets shoulder, claws deliberately held back, unlike yours. my tail brushes at its legs loosely.
< Perhaps, yes, this was meant to be comfort for Trinket. Perhaps it was torment, taunting them as their eyes bored into the ground and clutched at their head. >
< The pippins ground its teeth together, producing a harsh noise that sounded as if could snap at any moment. If it had hair, it would surely be pulling away at such. >
< Suddenly, they couldn’t take it, growing back to their original size and pushing both Suits off of them. Stop it stop it stop it stop. >

* You flinch shallowly at the harsh noise. and then the shove makes you stumble a bit, but you remain standing. Try as it may, you won't be shoved away fully. You ramain standing near them. Watching, a feigned concern in your eyes as you stay silent, watching, waiting for something to happen, for this story to continue, You hold an arm out, hesitant, before dropping it. And then, you watch me, waiting to see what I do.
* i hit the ground with an unceremonious "oof!" body weak from the poorly treated injuries. i look up at them, dazed and a little confused. what did i do wrong-wrong-wrong..? can i fix this..?
< Trinket stumbled back, holding an arm out and pointing a finger between both Suits. They looked utterly terrified.. Whiskers all frayed, glossy eyes darting from Suit to Suit. They just didn’t get it. >
< Words barely came out. After all of this, speaking had to be the hardest part. Trinket’s through felt like a jail cell, the key already having been digested and discarded of. >
