To many books to be read
Harry’s expressions while Ginny walks down the aisle - of course she would make an internal joke during, perhaps, the happiest moment of their lives.
Sharing a secret, flirting, gossiping, who knows 😌 it’s their moment
Harry and Ginny on their wedding night.
Harry found Ginny drinking in one of the tables when Slughorn finally had finished telling him and four Weasleys a story that required a great amount of effort to pay attention to.
It had been quite difficult to approach his wife during their own wedding party, especially because the guests wanted to give them individual attention - more than ever - so he didn’t skip the opportunity to walk towards her once he saw her alone. She was helping herself with more drink, staring at the dance floor where, thankfully, most of people were occupied with their own pairs.
Ginny felt his warm presence behind her and heard his voice through the loud music.
“If one of your cousins isn’t drunk yet, the part hasn’t actually started.”
“In their defence, I threatened them in case they do anything stupid.”
Harry chuckled.
“Someone wants a perfect night” he teased. “You know a party is not a party if something doesn’t go horribly wrong. Especially one that has me on it.”
“Your optimism. So touching.”
“I’m just kidding. Or not.”
“If something goes horribly wrong in this party, you will compensate on bed.”
He whispered close to her ear.
“I find so ironic that I didn’t give you enough attention tonight.”
She smiled.
“Save the energy for later.”
They heard a loud noise but Harry kept so relaxed that none of them really worried about it.
“Something might go horribly wrong.”
“I heard someone saying Aunt Muriel slapped someone.”
Ginny took a deep breath.
“I hope very well that the person deserved.”
Someone called Harry’s name. He kissed Ginny on the cheek, sweet and slowly.
“I’ll see you around, Mrs. Potter.”
“Don’t get killed or something.”
“You won’t get rid of me that easily.”
She turned around and gave him a proper kiss on his lips.
“I hope not.”
Someone called Ginny’s name.
“See you around, Mr. Potter.”
They didn’t worry about other’s attention. They had their whole lives to themselves.
i’ve been doing my homework on how to break into a writing career and honestly. there’s a Lot that i didn’t know about thats critical to a writing career in this day and age, and on the one hand, its understandable because we’re experiencing a massive cultural shift, but on the other hand, writers who do not have formal training in school or don’t have the connections to learn more via social osmosis end up extremely out of loop and working at a disadvantage.
like, i didnt know about twitter pitch parties!! i didnt know about literary agents and publishers tweeting their manuscript wishlist, in hopes that some poor soul out there has written the book they really want to read and publish!! this isnt some shit you learn about in school! you really need to know the ins and outs of the writing community to be successful!
for anyone interested, here’s what i’ve learned so far in my quest for more writing knowledge:
1. Writer’s Market 2019 is a great place to start– it gives you a list of magazines and journals that you can send your work to depending on the genre as well as lists a shit ton of literary agents that specify what genres they represent, how you can get in contact with them and how they accept query letters. this is a book that updates every year and tbh i only bought it this year so i dont know how critical it is to have an updated version
2. do your research. mostly on literary agents because if you listed on your site that you like to represent fluffy YA novels and some asshole sends you a 80k manuscript about like…gritty viking culture, you will be severely pissed off. always go in finding someone who you know will actually like your work because they’re the ones who will try to advocate for you in getting published.
3. learn how to write a query letter. there are slightly varying formulas to how you can write an effective query letter. you’re also going to want to get feedback on your query letter because its the first thing the literary agent will read and based on how well you do it, it could be the difference between them rejecting you outright and giving your manuscript a quick read
4. unfortunately, you’re gonna want to get a twitter. Twitter is where a lot of literary agents are nowadays, and they host things like twitter pitch parties, where you pitch your manuscript in a few sentences and hashtag it with #Pitmad #Pitdark, some version of pit. a lot of literary agents and publishers will ALSO post their manuscript wishlists, which is just the kind of books they’d like to represent/publish, and they hashtag this with #MSWL (it is NOT for writers to use, only for agents/publishers)
5. connect with other writers, literary agents, publishers at book events. you will absolutely need the connections if you want to get ahead as a writer. thats just kind of the state of the world.

That’s how Ginny invited herself to stay the night at Harry’s place after her very first exhausting professional Quidditch practice. Eventually, he didn’t want her to leave too and they both moved in together :)

I’m always in love with this post
remember being an eleven year old girl and being filled with rage? everything i did was from a place in my head where tiny daydream me was smashing plates.
Jen is so pretty I want to cry
Baby you are drunk
I AM DRUNK, THE SKY IS BLUE, AND JEN IS A STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL WOMAN
I got a kiss
“He fancies you, James Potter fancies you! And he’s not… everyone thinks… big Quidditch hero —”
“I know James Potter’s an arrogant toerag. I don’t need you to tell me that.”
Guys James Potter is real!
Me on my way to watch Avengers Endgame
If this is the same guy from Arizona, he’s super nice and I’ve met him. His real, legal name is Steve Rogers.

What hinny fanfics can you recommend? Love everything you write by the way!!
Thank you so much!
Good Hinny is so bloody hard to find. I actually haven’t read much recently, mostly because of the frustration of looking for good ones, but here are a few I enjoyed reading, hopefully at least a couple of them will be okay for you!
Canon:
Harry Potter and the World Reborn starts immediately after the Battle and has a lot of Romione as well as Hinny.
Harry Potter and the Elder Mistake starts straight after the Battle as well and is sort of a mystery/adventure thing I guess?
Oh, Harry is a really nice series of canon drabbles about Hinny.
Enough Trouble For A Lifetime is another that starts directly after the Battle.
Ginny Weasley and Her Heart’s Desire is a canon fic from Ginny’s POV that covers her whole time at Hogwarts, and it’s actually really good, though since it’s Ginny-centric there are periods with no Hinny at all. There’s a companion fic for it, You Have An Owl Post, which is basically Harry and Ginny’s letters to each other through her last years at Hogwarts, and a sequel set a couple of years later that’s a sort of supernatural mystery, The Unknown Spectre. I’m a big fan of this author’s work!
The First Day is a nice fic, even if the Ginny characterisation is a little off for me.
Faintest, Slimmest, Wildest Chance has lots of Weasley interaction but has Hinny as it’s focus, and I also like Don’t Forget by this author.
AU:
Need is a really interesting take on what could have happened if Harry and Ginny had bonded a little earlier, after the Chamber.
Foolish is without doubt the single most frustrating fic I have ever read. You’ll be screaming at the characters, but it’s a good read.
Both Protection and Ginny Duty have Harry being assigned to protect Ginny, but otherwise they’re pretty different. (Protection also has powerful!Harry.)
A Cannon’s Harpy is an AU where both Harry and Ginny are Quidditch players. Probably my fave AU.
The Original Naked Quidditch Match is probably the most bonkers thing you’ll ever read, but it’s fun.
Looking Through the Eyes of a Killer is an AU where Harry is an Auror and Ginny is Divination Professor at Hogwarts, and she helps him with a case.
Against The Odds is an all muggle AU, with Harry assigned to be Ginny’s bodyguard.
Yellow Submarine; take a real warning with this one, it’s dark. It has a Harry and Ginny that are both seriously damaged by the war, which went down a little differently in this universe. It also has Ginny a little younger than canon, and is a Professor/student fic. TW for references to rape.
You can also check out these fics if you’re looking for smutty one shots:
Polyjuice, Memory Charms, and More
Tied In Knots
The Shower Scene
I hope that helps, and maybe you should ask Stefanie at fanficsunderthestairs because I think Hinny is one of the pairings she reviews.
Rupert Grint, Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe. Behind the scenes of Harry Potter and the Prisioner of Azkaban.
