After two days of academia ( and a lot of tears ) I finally finished that assignment! God, I’m so mad I got the due dates mixed up, because I was totally ready to crack in and get my drafts done.
That will be for tomorrow, because I’m still pretty fried from having to think critically.
Again, thank you for your patience everyone! I’m actually on the homeward stretch towards finishing this semester, so I’ll have a little bit of time after that!
Guess who was the idiot who got her due dates mixed up for an assignment? If you guessed me, you would be right.
I have two days to create a presentation for my Media and Communications class that outlines a mock grant proposal we have to write later in the semester. I’ve picked LGBT+ representation in contemporary media ( examining its impact on LGBT people -- especially with the trope ‘bury your gays’ ) but, because I’ve left it so late, I now have to do all my research and compiling before Friday afternoon. It’s Wednesday night now.
I’m in for some sleepless nights -- wish me luck!

I get that 100%, though! Final Fantasy X was my first FF game, and I looked up to Yuna so much. Especially her patience and her kindness -- I honestly don’t think I’d be able to do that if I were in her shoes.

To be honest, he hadn’t been formally planning on proposing to Yuna just yet. But here they were, snuggled on the Besaid’s sandy white beach, watching the sun go down in hues of purples, oranges, and red over Besaid’s crystal waters, appearing as though they were on fire from the sun’s reflection. He had gotten to talking about how he’d love for them to end every evening like this for the rest of their lives. Even though it was how he saw their future when he imagined it, he hadn’t meant to put Yuna in an awkward position…
What if, after the fiasco with Seymour, she didn’t want to get married? What if he had, in one sentence, ruined evening they had built?
He needed to learn to think before he spoke.
“Ah, only if you want to get married, Yuna!” He wanted to, with everything he had, but if she didn’t, he would respect that. “Uh, no hard feelings if you say no. I just want you to be happy! … And I thought, you know, we make each other happy, and…”
“Are you sick? Are you terminal? Is it like that movie A Walk to Remember?”
“...I have a cold?”
Confusion was writ upon her face alongside a reddened nose and swollen cheeks; prompting the summoner to reach out and grasp at empty air before her fingers located a tissue. Bringing the soft paper to her face, she blew hard to try and rid herself of the snot that limited her breathing, giving herself a small reprieve from the other’s ( awkward ) concern.
“Do you even get sick, Lightning? If this is your -- wait.” There was a long pause as the woman’s entire phrase struck her like lightning, and Yuna’s brows furrowed as heterochromatic gaze peered at the warrior suspiciously. Or, at least, as suspiciously as one could before a frustrated huff followed the furious dabbing of her nose.
“You’ve seen A Walk To Remember?”
I’m going to take a small break and head over to @apalerook to get my drafts done there. Since I have about... four drafts ( I think? ) it shouldn’t take me very long to finish.
Then I can keep going with Yuna.
One day I’ll be on top of them all.
