i wouldn’t say good news…korean and chinese fans were deeply hurt after the reveal of the doctor’s name in the recent ch 259 and took to a twitter protest to change his name and got the hashtags apologize horikoshi and don’t use maruta

there were many fans who felt hurt and betrayed by this and some even deleted their bnha related accounts

within 24 hours horikoshi and shueisha came out with public statements about it, apologizing and promising to change the name quickly

from what i’ve seen, protesting fans are very grateful for the quick response and change time. this matter was taken very seriously and for that i’m grateful. the apology was sincere and the change was done quickly

*EDIT* checking on twitter seems like other fans are expecting a much longer apology so from what i understand with google translate seems the protest is still going on?

this wasn’t spoken about on tumblr, i’m assuming from lack of knowledge but now that all the information is out there i encourage you to reblog this to let people know what happened!
