No, it’s not enough, but this is only the beginning. Keep fighting!!!
(I adapted this list from this blog post and added sources and new entries. Please reblog with additions.)
OF COURSE its set to rain on the day of the move and ONLY on the day of the move OF COURSE because why would anything ever go right for me
I love my boyfriend
When my family is pissing me off and making me feel worthless and unloved and on the brink of feeling like I could end it today he distracts me by talking about our future basset hound and is actually genuinely interested in learning about All The Things and I am just so grateful for him
“I fucking love this photo. Where stood the statue of a slaver, stands the raised fist of a proud black man. Share it wide.
Bristol isn't erasing history. They are making it.
How shameful it would be to have to tell your kids and grandkids that - when this happened - when the greatest movement for civil rights swept the world and tore down idols to slavery and inequality and made Western society a better place at last - you stood against it.
Finding #AllLivesMatter on someone's old facebook wall will be like finding Nazi memorabilia in a dead relatives attic.”
- Taken in Bristol, United Kingdom
Mass incarceration has always been a tool for white supremacy and maintaining political control.
Same thing for anyone still fighting against decriminalizing marijuana.
It’s the same group people who are pushing these laws.
Prison gerrymandering has always about systemic structural racism.
Black Owned Pet Businesses
If you can’t be out on the streets, the next best thing is to support black businesses! Here’s a post with links to multiple black pet businesses. Buy from them instead of your local corporation. (these are US based businesses, but many ship overseas as well!)
Ava’s Pet Palace - organic, healthy treats!
The Bark Shoppe - general dog supplies (including a gorgeous pride month box that I have coming in the mail for my pups! pictured below)
Beaux and Paws - handmade bowties! (they’re stunning!)
Enjoy-A-Bowl - created by a veterinarian, awesome for picky eaters!
House Dogge - sustainable, handmade dog accessories and toys! many can be personalized as well (their Licorice Grey Merino Wool Binky Tug Toy is shown below)
Little L’s Artisan Dog Treats - alternative to mass produced dog jerkies on the market, organic jerky and other meat treats (my pups adore them!)
Nova West Supplies - all natural body care, for humans and pets!
Pet Plate - all natural, ready to eat meals shipped directly to your door! made with human grade ingredients and cooked in a USDA facility
Scotch and Tea - handmade matching masks and dog collars, as well as much more (their pride collar is shown below)
Sir Dogwood - leashes and harnesses, dog clothes and beds, this place has got it all!
These are just a few of the many black owned businesses that you can support during this time, and long after!
Reminder to please not bring your dog to protests! They can turn violent in the blink of an eye, even if you didn’t think there were going to be police there!

I have not told this story before. I worry how it will be received. I don’t know the right language to express it other than my own thoughts
I admit that I had to read until the very end of the story to learn why the white woman kept being stopped by the police.
you gonna dive and get it? AHKFHSJD
“ur so quiet” thanks i do not want to talk to you
