Hello!!
Growing up I have been in two abusive households. One with my father, who yelled and screamed and hit over every little thing. He was a gaslighter and a manipulator, and I had to run to live with my mother.
However, over the years I have found out that she doesn't truly care for me– making constant remarks on my money and income, urging me to get a job, taking every cent of the money I got back from college, and demanding all of my government disability funds from Social Security.
Now, I have to leave. I cannot take this anymore. I am going somewhere she can't find me, but after she took every last cent in my bank account and after a donation from a friend I have around 53 dollars to my name, which as I'm sure you're aware, is not a lot.
I need money to get insurance and a phone plan since my mother cut me off. She calls me a lying thief for not wanting to give her every cent I have.
I have a homeless shelter sorted but this is not the ideal situation. I would love to have the money to get my own place, even just a small apartment. To get Wi-Fi. To talk to the people I love. I would love to be able to be with my friends again.
Every day I am more and more afraid of what is going to happen next.
Anything helps, really.

Sometimes it feels like you’re expected to regulate perfectly because you have BPD.
You’re asked to pause, stay calm, choose your words carefully, and repair quickly. Meanwhile, other people are allowed to react, shut down, snap, or avoid responsibility entirely.
That double standard is exhausting.
Learning regulation skills does not mean you stop being human. It does not mean you have to carry every hard moment alone. And it does not mean other people get a free pass.
You’re allowed to be in progress. You’re allowed to have limits. You’re allowed to need effort back.
Being self-aware should not mean being held to an impossible standard.
Something that always bothers me in mental health spaces is the fear of relating too much to each-other across the lines of different disorders. Too many times I've met people who are not dissociative systems, but have dissociative experiences (such as from BPD), and they trip over themselves saying "no no, I mean, I don't REALLY understand what you go through, my thing is totally different," and it makes me a little upset. Disorders are just clusters of symptoms packaged together in a certain way, that's why the names and criteria often change across DSM and ICD editions, and viewing them as entirely exclusive clubs where only they could possibly understand anything about each other isn't a particularly healthy way of seeing it. The lines between disorder labels are blurrier than you think. You are not being a bad person or overstepping for relating to symptoms of a disorder, or people with a disorder, without having their specific label. Very rarely (if ever, frankly) is there a symptom that can only occur in one disorder, or even one type of disorder. Psychosis can occur in countless circumstances. Dissociation and identity compartmentalization can occur in countless circumstances. It's better to focus more on your specific symptoms and building community with your fellow neurodivergent people, using the resources that help you regardless of if they were specifically made for your diagnosis, over worrying about whether or not you're "allowed" to relate to something or experience something similarly to someone else.
I'm a firm believer in "heal loudly" because you've suffered in silence. While it's completely ok to be private about your trauma or recovery, survivors should always be given the space to heal loudly without judgment. Some of us want to yell about it because being loud is PART of our recovery. To refuse to keep others' secrets. To let others know they're not alone. To prevent people from being victimized like we were. And not least of all, expressing our anger.

In the end people should get to decide for themselves what's right for them, even when you think you know better. You always have the right to distance yourself if you don't agree with someone's choices or feel that said choices affect you in negative ways, but you shouldn't try to make decisions on their behalf, not even if your intention is to help them. The right to autonomy isn't just for people who make the same decisions you would make.
it’s okay to be tired if even you didn’t do anything to “earn” it. when you’re tired, you’re tired. you don’t need to justify to other people what you “did” to feel run down
sometimes it’s very difficult to let go but you can’t control everything. as frustrating as a situation might be you still have to take care of yourself. you still owe that to yourself. you can’t save everyone, and it’s not your obligation to do so, and it shouldn’t be expected from you, but you can save yourself.
you can start anytime.
you can brush your teeth in the middle of the day. you can wash the dishes at 2am. you can do things outside the normal times assigned by society.
art tips
don't call what you create "content". regardless of what it is. that's the devil talking. call it art, call it writing, call it music, call it analysis, call it editing, literally just call it what it is
I was going to put other things but oh my god please just don't call yourself a "content creator". you are a person you are making art / writing / music / etc you are an artist an author a musician
you are not an Image Generator For Clicks And Views. please. allow yourself to connect with your work by naming it properly and acknowledging yourself in kind

Calling the art you make “content” — whatever’s actually going to happen to it — reduces it instantly to the status of “something someone else’s going to sell for more than the creator’s going to be paid for it.” It reduces you to being a mere element in somebody else’s so-called business plan.
“Art” is an old, old word. It means—reaching back in time—any made thing (the ancient root-word “artifice” meant to point up what human beings made on purpose instead of something the world shaped by accident). Good, bad, or indifferent, it’s what a human mind made, using whatever ancient or modern tool you can imagine. Art doesn’t have to be GREAT to qualify for the term. It just has to be made, by a living being: for pleasure, to work through pain, idly or with huge intent, for fun or seriously, to illuminate vast subjects or just to jerk the world around for a few minutes.
The “content” term and framing attempts to reduce your creation to something meant inevitably to be bought and sold: a mere product, a commodity, a cheap thin thing that’ll wear out and leave whoever engages with it wanting something better (but always somehow cheaper). The pushers of the “content” concept want you to think of what you’ve invented in the numinous silences of your head—the bitter, the joyous, the anguished, the glorious—as something worthless unless it can be sold off in bulk: packaged like sausage, containered like cottage cheese.
The entities (hard to call them “people” at the corporate level, poor things) who want to sell your output, don’t want to remunerate you decently for it. After all, that might give customers the idea that fellow humans deserving of acknowledgement—not the vast non-living organisms we now call companies—were responsible for the passion and emotion in the art you buy every day… and for which the corporations pay the individual humans responsible for the “content” the very lowest price possible.
What you can do about this: Demand noisily that the creators responsible for art be treated like creatives, worthy of their hire.
What we who create can do: Keep doing it, in hopes that the world catches up with what we’re at.
Be art, and don’t let them make you “content.”
