This episode! The King sisters!

In season one, when Mel and Becca were on face time and Becca was like “you need to find someone to kiss!”

That wasn’t her being “childish” or whatever, that was her trying to gently push Mel into the next step in life.

Into romance, sex, and genuine relationships, because Becca was (most likely) already doing that. Into being her own person, which would also allow Becca to be her own person as well.

Mel is a young woman who put herself through medical school, lost her parents and was the sole caregiver to her sister. She did what she had to do to survive and provide. And right under her nose (not in a bad way ofc) the sister she devoted herself to, suddenly became what she never even considered was an option…

I can’t help but wonder if Mel is feeling like she’s somehow behind now…
