I know Hannibal calling Will ‘William’ is disliked by the fandom, and I’m not a fan of it myself. But just hear me out on this. Imagine Will’s just being a little shit. He is just being rude, and teasing Hannibal. Lovingly, of course. Just completely getting on Hannibal’s nerves for no reason other than he can without consequences. Of all people on this earth who is able to tease the Chesapeake Ripper and survive its Will. And Hannibal just snaps and full names him. And because we don’t know Will’s middle name, Hannibal just fills in the blank with something random. Like William Regina Graham.
