Hybrid puppy Dennis who was often muzzled in his puppy form by his family and left outside even in the rain.

Robby and Jack notice how anxious Dennis gets one night when it rains pretty hard out but write it off as his puppy instincts. They wrap him in a blanket, tucking him into their sides on the couch, after a few hours Dennis lets himself relax knowing he isn’t sleeping outside tonight.

Over the next few weeks Dennis adjusts to sleeping inside every night, burrowed into his spot between the bear (Robby) and wolf (Jack) hybrid. They never bring up a dog house or wanting Dennis to stop his whines and growls, Dennis lets himself relax and get comfortable.

Until one day after Dennis mouths off one too many times, Jack or Robby make a joke about getting their pup a muzzle. They both stand in shock as Dennis abruptly stands up and lowers his head, darting out the room.

It takes a minute for the two men’s brains to catch up before they start searching the house for their pup. They look in their bed, the living room, the bath tub, even the dog bed they had placed between two desks in the home office. It’s only after checking all those spots they realise the back door is ajar.

Robby curses, calling for Jack while pulling his coat on. It had been pouring out and now their pup was somewhere out there in the wet and cold. Both men burst into the backyard searching high and low until they find a small ball off muddy fluff curled near the edge of the house, half under a bush to hide from the rain.

Dennis snaps his teeth at their hands the first few times they reach out until he calms down and let them wrangle him inside.

They make it up to their pup with a bubble bath and lots of head scratches, promising that he would never have to sleep outside or wear a muzzle.
