I’m gonna draw art and share screenshots of my Drifter and Operator but i realize I’ve never shared my headcanons!

Operator/Tenno: Name is Khiden. AroAce, Gender Nonconforming They/Them-er. Aesthetics, they lean more towards Femme style. Probably AfroLatin? Not a perfect fit because fictional world, idk how much is different historically lore wise.

I wanna headcanon them as having two same sex/gender parents, but i cant remember if Tenno canonically has a straight cis set of parents. (And for my Tenno i like to work with whats canon to an extent)

Had a sibling. (This actually may be an exclusive to Drifter thing but idk i havent thought on it too much.)

Drifter: Drifter aka Marty, (i loved that the Hex called them Marty its so funny and cute that they gave Drifter a nickname), Same pronouns and stuff as the kid. Left behind their birth name, and after meeting the Hex took on the name Marty since they got attached to it. 1999 is their home, Aoi is their best friend out of all the Hex, but each of them are special to the drifter. Arthur is probably their partner. (Probably because i still haven’t decided on if im going to romance the man)

Then theres the three little birdies in the cathedral, Marie and Marty are dating, Lyon and them bond over books, philosophy and their shared care for Marie. Drifter also loves to torment Roathe, but he is a lil shit and teases them back relentlessly. (Their relationship is complicated, the Drifter doesnt have the same history with Roathe but that doesnt make it any less difficult at first)

Its 4am and I’m ignoring the screaming thoughts of existential dread clawing at my mind, so you’re gonna get my thoughts on ‘The Old Peace’ cause i just played it again.

So, right off the bat i noticed a couple things, the ‘black rain’ mentioned in the new Tau trailers absolutely already exists, theres literally pools of viscous black ooze around the blue tau blooms that gave the Sentients individual consciousness. So, my thought was, ‘are we getting alien life forms introduced?’

The flower itself is Alien, they literally say its the first alien life form they’ve encountered. (I’m not even going to start on how that is technically wrong but thats another post)

The black rain could be a natural phenomenon on Tau, or like i saw in another post its a bio weapon like literally everything else the stupid Orikins make. I hope not because that makes for a redundant story-plot point and i want diversity.

But i digress. The blooms being surrounded by the black ooze leads me to believe its from Tau.

The second thing I paused at was Adis’s death. And how Tenno/Operator tells the Grineer who’s name i have forgotten completely, to bury Adis. But he was under orders to bring Adis’s body back to the Academy, and with the new trailer, I find it hard to believe they went digging through the mud looking for his body. But we will have to see how that plays out on Tau.

I plan to go back over the missions again, maybe i’ll go backwards from the Old Peace…

All bodies belong to a person with feelings. Being rude and insulting, or creepy and fetishistic, or infantilizing and pitying in regards to what someone looks like is missing the mark. Treat people like people. Be patient. Be kind. Recognize your own biases and ruthlessly strangle them.

grace inadvertently pushing the button to bring out the other two beds with his butt, immediately after ripping the catheter out of his rectum

grace pulling the wrong toilet flush and getting his head vacuum-sucked into the centrifugal-oriented one (also thank you phm deleted scenes for the only other angle of the bathroom we will probably ever get <3)

I am pleased by people messaging me telling me that after adding a carb or protein to their snacks or meals they feel more satisfied all day. Yes, my plan is working. People are getting through their days with less hangry.

has anybody else ever thought of how royally fucked up the operator's muscles must be? like yeah yeah cryostasis sleep whatever mightve not affected their muscles... much, but after they were awoken? afterwards when theyre just stuck sitting in the chair for god knows how long? like listen, as somebody who didn't leave his house for 7 years and never had to walk so i just never did (slightly exaggerated for the record), i can 100% confidently say my legs are shot, like i dont think ill ever be able to run. (to be fair tho there might be something else wrong there but lets not get into that) and like listen, idk how much they *canonically* leave their warframe to get up and walk around but like??? how often do we actually see the operator themselves in action. NOT VERY OFTEN RIGHT? and i dont remember much of the quests, but most of their mobility is usually swinging around with that void teleportation sling thing, no??? and usually getting their ass kicked when theyre not zipping around with their cracked void powers

and listen this might be self projecting but (taking what i said about myself) dont you think itd be Worse for them???? like im not medically trained in any way shape or form, my area of semi-partial-barely expertise is psychology, but like... that CANNOT be healthy? their muscles must be FUCKED right? like come ON???

that said it would be really funny if the lotus and/or ordis is always going after them for this exact reason. teshin 100% would i think. always being like "kid if your void magic wasn't as volatile and dangerous as it is you would be so screwed if you had to hold your own without a warframe"

Disabled Operator specifically could have really atrophied muscle tissue but Drifter kinda walks with what could be a limp so i headcanon them both having a disability/health issue to some extent

headcanon that the Operator goes nowhere near mirrors or their reflection, because every time they do they swear it smiles back at them. it smiles and waves and sometimes it whispers, sometimes it taps the glass. sometimes it swings, and the Operator swears they hear the glass falter under its fist, and they want absolutely nothing to do with it.

In the vein of the Operator/Drifter being disabled. Showing distinct signs of having mobilities issues ( outside of Duviri which is literally a fantasy world outside of reality) limping, slow movement, inability to run.

That might make the warframes a mobility aid of sorts.

This paired with the nearly canon insinuation that Umbra and Operator's relationship is a symbiotic partnership where in Operator helps to repress the torture spiral loop that ballas put Umbra in. I think their relationship is truly one of companionship and care.

Umbra being the most sentient of all frames is already so narrative rich. Operator a permanent child stuck in space and time helping him to escape the murder of his own son is already so narrative rich.

But the idea that they rely on each other to literally go out and expirience any kind of living. Umbra who allows someone to touch his mind despite everything thats been done with it. Who allows someone to pilot his body. Who then proceeds to protect that person in the field. To guard them.

And Operator who has been perminently denied the ability to grow and change in so many ways but decides to work to change the origin system anyways. Who learns and develops and lends themselves to so many causes. Who helps fortify and rescue and build communities, to spread good. To change as much as they possibly can. Even though theyll never really change.

Two soldiers. The perminent child wise beyond their years and the shadow of a man trapped in his own worst moment. Come together to be more.

The respect. The reliance.

Can I just say that I love how full of incandescent rage the Operator is

Being 13 sucks. Being 13 forever? I can hardly imagine anything worse

They grew up in a society that demanded perfection and obedience and at any time someone they knew could vanish; executed, Glassed, hunted for sport, turned into a Yuvan. Anything was possible and they just had to accept it. They were forced to become a child soldier and lost everything over and over and over and over again. Each time by the same monster's hand. They killed their oppressors and were put to sleep for thousands of years, and guess what?

Nothing's changed. The Orokin are gone, sure, but what they've left behind has grown and festered for millennia unchallenged

They're caught in a cycle of violence with no end in sight, trying to save the system from a seemingly endless number of adversaries as their wounds reopen and deepen with every loss, every memory regained. They're trying so hard to be good, to help others, but when all you've got is a hammer everything starts to look like nails.

The Operator is so full of vengeful wrath and honestly? I can't blame them.
