Once upon a time, when i first started watching The Legend of Korra, i wasn’t a fan and i kinda hated her, i think part of it was internalized misogyny and the other part was i missed Aang and the rest of the gang.

But i kept on watching, and eventually Korra made me fall in love with her. Shes an incredible woman who went through so much shit at such a young age with so much weight put on her during a period of time that was not easy for anyone let alone the avatar. And shes still so young in it. In comparison to Aang who had a portion of his childhood to just be a kid, she was the avatar as a young child. She didn’t get that. She faces near death so many times, arguably more times then Aang, and i dont know, she felt more alone to me. She has her own gang but, it just wasnt the same? She still had to hold the majority of the weight alone.

Shes charming and witty in her own right and i love that despite all that she went through she still stayed kind and good.

This lil love letter to the character comes now because of the new trailer for Avatar Seven Havens, i prey to the moon and stars that they dont do her dirty in this new avatar period. Because she deserves better!

Zutara as a friendship is so good I adore their dynamic

Honestly i just love all the gaang

But Zuko and Katara’s building of relationship in the show was really good, i also really enjoy the way the fandom write their dynamic its good shit

((ATLA MOVIE SPOILERS SO DONT READ IF YOU HAVENT WATCHED YET!!!))

The movie destroyed me, like it was predictable but it was still so good goddamnit!

And to see the gang together again?! Ugh! 😭💕 its so nice i love them all so much! Nostalgia galore!

I like that they touched on things we learnt about in Korra! With the Lion Turtles and bending!

One thing i was wrong about was that that avatar was good and that it wasnt like they were at a time a tyrannical society/group of airbenders. I was almost disappointed by that because it would have made for an interesting reason for her not being easily reachable in the chain of past lives. If the avatar had a foil it would make for such an interesting story. Because the avatar has no counter balance? Ya know? They bet EVERYTHING on the avatar not being corrupted and to uphold balance in every aspect.

I just keep thinking about how devastating a dangerous airbender like Zaheer could be. Earth is their foil/counter but literally they could just suck the air out of peoples lungs and be done with it, like holy shit.

Also? Some of the parts of this movie felt like a peek of what it could be like in the next avatar series and im kinda hyped?! I hope we get some old and new lore about each of the nations!

ALSO! Also, that dig at zutara was crazy, im not even a shipper but damn guys 😭 kataang is already canon and smooching in this movie why you gotta say that? /lh (i understand its a joke but i do feel bad for the zutara shippers)

LITTLE THINGS I THOUGHT DIDNT MAKE SENSE!

One of the things that doesnt really make sense about bending is its not genetic? So why were no airbenders born outside of a air nation? Thats the one thing i dont get. Do they explain that at all? I cant recall if they gave a reason for it.
