Meet up after 4 years on yellow-dresscode Jopper wedding ♥ (song: Danny's Song by Loggins & Messina)
Does this make it canon?
Stranger Things epilogue tweak - Mike the Wise
bonus below
Mike and Eleven ending up together, meant NOTHING to straight people. It meant nothing because that’s what happens in every story.
Mike and Will ending up together, would’ve meant EVERYTHING to the queer community. It would’ve meant everything because queer people deserve to see a relationship that looks like their own.
It’s all just so so so sickening.
they want the cookie so effing bad this gif is ridiculous
Soooo when the Duffers said that the show is about outcast??? I think they mean it in a "nerdy" video game type and not in a queer, social marginalized way...
The fact that they forgot Kali's British accent, the pregnant women plot, Russia, and Will's physical connection to the mindflayer but remembered to include Chance at the graduation LMAO
i'm going to be sick. "i started bringing it up again and they told me "noah shut up. it was one. it was one time."" that's them having to be begged for the queer character's storyline to have closure. then noah, someone that's actually from the queer community you should at least pretend to want to represent correctly, tells you it's still not right, not enough, and you shut him up because you allowed it one time already.
guys they genuinely used a queer character’s feelings to fix a main straight ship in season 4 i- 💀💀💀💀💀💀
tbh i don’t think campaigning to get ep7 to be the lowest rated of the entire series is a good course of action. it’s actually a terrible idea. i don’t like how the coming out scene was written, but it’s still a hugely important moment for will (also: he was totally downplaying his feelings and him saying that mike is straight is 100% a set up to be proven wrong in the finale). and intentionally downvoting the episode that includes will’s coming out just sends the wrong message. and we definitely don’t need that because there are people out there who are already saying that they hated the coming out scene and that it was totally unnecessary and whatever OUT OF HOMOPHOBIA
about cutgate:
this theory is insane. we have to call a spade a spade. claiming that this show had an entirely different course of narrative that got cut substantially, and subsequently ruined everyone’s credibility, IS insane.
the implications of this being true are very big. it means this show was tanked on purpose. it means some serious homophobia was going down behind the scenes. it means they were scrambling to save this show.
it’s not realistic. you can’t cut THAT many scenes, that many major plot points, and still have it be cohesive and coherent like it was (albeit poorly done).
and yes, promo for this show straight up lied about what content we would be getting. but a lot of this promo, and many of these promises, were given to us around the time of the premiere—weeks before season 5 aired. them cutting this much content a week or even a month in advance of the premiere is simply not possible. it’s just not.
scripts need to be approved before filming. they need to be reviewed and go through multiple rounds of revisions. do some scenes get cut after they’ve already been filmed and edited? absolutely. in fact, that’s common. we know they cut mike biking home after they find wills body in season 1. we also know they add scenes mid-filming, like with the will and jonathan heart to heart in season 4. but these are scenes that don’t change the narrative arc and structure of the show. major scenes, major plots, and this many of them getting cut? no.
a variation of “cutgate” likely happened. in the writing room when they were brainstorming. on the editing floor after filming. but not to this extent. if netflix really didn’t want certain plots to be happening, it would have gotten addressed way before it made it to the final editing stage.
i hate to burst your bubble, and i’m not saying it’s impossible, but i AM saying this isn’t how film works.
will saying he’s not a sorcerer when mike firmly believes he is, feels a lot like will not believing mike loves him when he actually does
STRANGER THINGS
2025 | Vol 1 BYLER
like great, wills love story of him being in love with mike for 10 years has been resolved by him accepting that mike doesn’t like him back even though he’s thought that for most of the show anyways. this makes 0 sense
