you haven’t stepped a foot into this house since your last summer here.
the key has rusted, sticking in the front door before it finally gives way beneath your shove. warm summer air, dust, and the familiar smell of your childhood drift out to meet you.
your parents had asked if you could clear out your old room before the house goes up for sale.
now, your childhood bedroom awaits exactly as you left it all those years ago.
because there are boxes that you don’t remember packing.
one rests near the bookshelf. another sits on your old computer chair. one is waiting on your bed. and the last is tucked away on the shelf next to your wardrobe.
maybe they’re yours and you’ve just forgotten about them.
or maybe they were never yours to begin with.
either way… you didn’t come all this way to leave them unopened.
so, pick one and see what you buried, summer child.
a trip down memory lane ☆ it’s time to clean out your old childhood room… or so you thought. scattered around are sealed memory boxes, each hiding something different from your past. pick one location, open the box, and see what you find.
to recieve the object of your memories send an ask open-hearted to @summmerchild with the date and location of the box you'd like to explore. we will dust away the object you recieve and return it to you. then, you have to make a moodboard connecting the item to a childhood memory.
all of your memories should be remembered and sent to us by august 22nd. if it is taking longer than necessary please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
the moodboard needs to be at least 90% made by you. if using locs, pngs etc by anyone else, please don’t forget credits! we love originality over here so whoever with the most creative interpretation of the memory will receive the reward.
