Self-love is a natural and useful attitude which is wrongly censured
Aristotle (Politics II. 5 1263a40-b5)
It is so cruel that we think we’re wasting time when we’re doing something that we love and that does not have any materialistic returns
Can someone take me to the ocean? I need to have a break from everything.
“Be of good heart.”

“if you'd just take off your mask
you'd find out that everything's gone wrong”
voglio andare al mare e ascoltare, in silenzio
When I was in High school
My teacher told me
That the human heart
Was about the same size
As the fist a person could make
So I looked at my small hands
At the small fist I made
And I wondered if my heart would grow
with my hand too
And maybe that's why
We hold hands
To see if our hearts match
And maybe thats why
Letting go hurts so much
The first time I saw Love
I saw his hands were big
Way bigger than my still tiny hands
And I told him
About my theory
He smiled and made my hand
Into a fist
And then ensheathed it
In a fist of his own
And said,
"Look, your heart fits in mine"
“We are messy haired and freckle faced, tan lines and sunburns and dirt under our nails. We are fingers clasped around steaming styrofoam cups of instant hot chocolate, wrapped in blankets and sat in the dirt in front of a bonfire. We are dirt covered bluejeans and dripping wet gloves, rolled up sleeves of a hoodie already spattered with mud. The wind blows against our faces, hair breaking free from its ponytail and brushing against chapped lips upturned in a smile. We are wild and loud and messy and joyful and we are alive. We are brushed hair and made up faces now, fading tans and cleaned up nails. We are glasses of filtered water filled with ice, drank at a granite counter in a warm and sunlit kitchen. We are skinny jeans and flannels and leather boots, suede jackets and knit sweaters and not wearing something if there’s a stain on it. We sit inside, away from the wind, remembering the time we climbed into the sky and felt truly on top of the world. Thinking of the time we immersed ourselves in the dust and could only think of how clean we felt inside. Now, we are quiet and thoughtful and so missing that place, but yes, we are still alive.”

“We live for crazy, careless summer nights, that always fade into memories, which bring us the feelings that we crave since then.”

"Well then, I need to find another galaxy to live in." he said, almost smiling even if he's still hurting. She looked at him, confused at what he's saying. She silently waited for him until he continued, "Because maybe in another galaxy, maybe in another world, there's you and me. Together. Not like this. Not ending up as if we never knew each other. Not ending up as if we could never understand one another. Not ending up, breaking each other." he sighed and slowly stood up, brought his hands to his pockets so she couldn't see how they are shaking trembly because of what he's currently feeling, then he finally said, "I hope I could bring you with me." he took one step and turned at her, he waved goodbye, then he said, "Where we can make it work."
I'll go, I wish with you. // ma.c.a
She was always searching for boys with blue eyes
Maybe because she loved the sea
More than anything else
And losing herself in bright blue
Felt like running into waves
Or maybe because she loved the sky
And everytime someone glanced at her
With the colour of heaven
She felt free
But the day she looked in his
She forgot the sea, the sky
And suddenly she found everything
In dark brown
Without knowing she searched for it
