Cyrus turned around to leave as soon as he saw TJ sitting on his front porch but the jock was out of his seat in an instant, rushing to grab Cyrus by the shoulders to stop him from walking away. He forced the shorter boy to turn around and look at him. Buffy had said she could tell how TJ felt by the way he looked at Cyrus, and now he was hoping that Cy would be able to see it too.

guys what if tj is so insecure bc of what’s going on that he has reverted back to being afraid of showing vulnerability like he was pre-cyrus and that’s the reason he does another rap apology, in order to try to get cyrus back without having to be vulnerable… and then what if cyrus REJECTS it? like what if cyrus is just completely unimpressed and is like “what happened to me being the person you could TALK TO??? what about our friendship makes you think that would work on me?? this isn’t US” and then tj is forced to be more vulnerable than ever before and that is when we get a confession of his feelings for cyrus

Cyrus: Yesterday, I asked you all to fill this box with suggestions on how to make life here more enjoyable, so now I am going to read them out loud to see which ones we all like and agree should become a reality! Let’s see what the students of Jefferson Middle School really want …

*Cyrus opens the box, dramatically lifts out one single piece of paper, holds it up so everyone can see it, and loudly clears his throat*

Cyrus: “Go to prom with TJ Kippen”.

Cyrus, pulling out another suggestion: “Go to prom with that blonde guy whose hoodies you’re always ‘borrowing’”.

Cyrus, slowly pulling out yet another suggestion, his brow wrinkling in confusion: “Heck, why stop at prom?? Just marry the guy (TJ Kippen) already!”

Cyrus, dumping the entire contents of the box onto the podium and rifling through them: “Ask your boy TJ to prom” … “Swing into prom with your favourite swing buddy” … “You + TJ Kippen = the perfect prom dates so hurry up and ask him already”??

Cyrus, blushing and widening his eyes at Buffy, Andi and Jonah: You GUYS.

Buffy: Hey, don’t look at us! We didn’t write those! It was all T–

TJ: WELL, I guess the people have spoken! That sure looks unanimous to me! We don’t even have to vote on it! And what the people want the people get, right?? Looks like you and I are gonna have to go to prom together, Cyrus! Gotta keep the student body happy!
