So I saw a post a while ago about Lucas and Ezekiel being chaotic roommates and I let it simmer in my brain and now I have an entire fanfic idea of a WMMAP modern college AU.

Imagine...

The University of Obelia (UO) have a requirement that all undergraduates must stay in school dorms for the 4 years of their schooling.

Lucas and Ezekiel (and maybe even Cabel) all meet the Princess Athanasia prior to going to college.

Lucas was her childhood friend but went off to another country (aka the magic tree but I haven’t decided whether or not I want magic to be in this story or not) and went to UO just to be with Athy even though he could live comfortably without going to college.

He hasn’t seen Athy since going to said other country, so he thought he would surprise her by attending the same university as her.

Ezekiel and Cabel both met Athy through banquets and parties. Both of them were entranced by her. They wanted to spend more time with her, but she had private teachers and didn’t attend schools with other children.

When they heard that she would be going to UO, they promised themselves that they’d work hard to get to UO (which is a highly prestigious university) too to spend more time with her.

Athy herself is experiencing a school with other people than herself for the first time in her newest life. She remembers how bad her university experience was in Korea, so she promised herself that she’ll have fun in this life.

Not only that, but something happened to her just before the story started. Something bad.

Move-in day to the dorms come and Lucas, Ezekiel, and Cabel meet each other and immediately recognize each other hanging out with Athy.

A snarky showdown ensues.

Lucas, of course, is blasting Ezekiel and Cabel to shreds, but just as he gave the last word, Ezekiel and Cabel say that something has happened with Athy while he was away. Something big.

Then they go their separate ways to their dorms.

But wait...

They’re all going the same direction.

Soon, they find out that not only were they rivals for Athy’s love

No,

They were rivals for Athy’s love AND THEY WERE ROOMATES!!! (you have no idea how long I had to think of how to phrase the sentence so I could include this vine)

More discord ensues, but just as they’re at each other’s throats, someone knocks on the door.

It’s Athy and it turns out that her dorm is right across theirs since the dorms are co-ed.

The real plot starts after this set-up. College work, character drama, and romance mishaps occur.

Then my brain split what happens after the set-up into routes like a visual novel:

There’s the Lucas Route, Ezekiel Route, and Cabel Route where Athy ends up with each of the boys.

A Friendship Route where they all remain friends.

And my personal favorite: the LuKiel Route, where Lucas and Ezekiel get together (in true enemies-to-lovers) fashion and good boy!Cabel gets Athy and everyone lives happily ever after!

P.S. I changed the colors of the names to make this easier to read. Is it working or is it just making your eyes hurt? Please tel me in the comments.
