Hey guys, I’ve been away for a while, but I have a good reason. For one, I needed to finish my exams so I would have more time to focus on this. Second, I had a major art style shift, and finally, one of my teachers taught me to know my limitations.
When I first started this Patreon, I treated “SuperSonicGamer” and “DimensiStudios” as two different things, even though they’re the same. Looking back at it now, all I can do is ask myself what I was thinking. And with Patreon’s newest update, I have merged my “public account” with my Patreon Page, thus gaining the hybrid name it has now.
But enough about that now, I first envisioned all of my projects to be fully animated series, but after getting back into the saddle after playing Sonic Racing: Crossworlds one too many times, I have over 300 hours on it, I learned that just a single guy like me can’t produce a fully animated series without burning myself out, and abandoning it. After watching the cutscenes of Sonic and the Secret Rings & the Black Knight, as well as the early episodes of RWBY: Evermorrow, and the 5 Years Later: Motion Comic, I realised that I have found a format I can handle. If I wanted to fully animate something, it would be short animations, such as intros or my own original work.
With that being said, Sonic Generations: Retold is on hiatus, but not abandoned. After reading my original draft, there was little to no character development I had in mind, and since I was a beginner writer, I would get writer’s block.
But now, using my Notes app, I’ve finally found a sure-fire way on how I want to write episodes, and with my new format in mind, I can write movies, specials and shorts. That all means Sonic Generations: Retold will be a series instead of a comic, which I would later turn into a comic dub.
I’ve also got some new projects in development, but I won’t announce the release date until I’m 99% done. A bit of a stretch, but a necessary one.
I’m also developing my own Mirahaze Wiki, and fixing a lot of my old character artwork, and adding new costumes, which means I’ll have to update my Discord server… again.
