If there was one thing you wanted in this whole world, it was to make your dad proud. Nothing else mattered to you as much as that. Even if it meant losing yourself in the process you’d happily do it. Things were great between you and your dad in the beginning. You had wonderful memories of him and your mum taking you to the park and goofing around with you, you’d go camping together and enjoy family time whenever Dean was home from a hunt. Movie nights when uncle Sammy came over were a ball. The house was filled with music and laughter and you felt as if nothing in the world could compare to that or take it away.

You looked up from where you sat on your floor to see your uncle poking his head into your room. He took one look at your red, puffy eyes and seemed to understand exactly what happened.
“Oh, kiddo,” Sam said, immediately walking over and wrapping you in a hug. “I know. I know. I’m so sorry.”
The tears came back in full force, streaming down your face as you held onto Sam. Rocking back and forth, he rubbed your back as shallow, shuddering breaths overtook you. The two of you sat in the middle of your floor like that for a long time, long enough for the tears to stop and your breathing to even out, and then some more.

Writing as therapy is well established. Fuck anyone who says different. Write. Write for your goddamn life.
Writing has helped me realize a lot of things about myself, mostly trauma related, and helped me come to terms with them.
Writing about those things gave me closure for shit I otherwise never would have gotten.

Alright sit back because I am about to gush about this AU that I just spent an entire shower coming up with.
Tuckers crimes are discovered before he can turn Nina and Alexander into a chimera
Tucker is still killed by scar
Hughes is keeping Ed and Al updated on what will happen to Nina cause he knows the boys care about her
In doing so he ends up spending a lot of time with the girl while the legal system is working out where to put her (essentially what orphanage to put her in. I’m not sure the logistics of all that stuff but you get what I mean)
And eventually Hughes is just like “she mine now” and discusses it with Gracia and Elysia who are all on board with the idea
And the moment that everything is confirmed and official he goes straight to Roy and is like “have you seen my DAUGHTERS”
He is very happy cause now he has TWO beautiful daughters to gush over and annoy Roy with
He absolutely gushes over Nina just as much as Elysia and treats her just like she were his own
Nina and Elysia are the greatest sister duo ever. Fite me.
And they both love their big sis Winry and big bros Ed and Al.
Oh and their Uncle Roy and Auntie Riza
Due to them living in that small apartment they can’t keep Alexander there so they got Roy to take care of him.
Roy had no say in the matter.
Gracia loves Nina so freakin much too. Like the day they finally adopt her Gracia just cooks this huge meal and they all celebrate and are very happy
They make frequent visits to Roy’s place so that Nina can visit Alexander.
When Ed and Winry have their kids Nina and Elysia are the coolest aunts ever
Hughes is frickin there for Nina as she grows older and begins to understand better what Shou Tucker did
Gahhh this AU is gonna kill me. I’m slowly dying the more I think about it the better it gets. I love this so much. I’m gonna cry over this stupid idea for a week now. Seriously this is all that’s gonna matter to me
