ZACHARYÂ
Zach grinned smugly and crossed his arms. There was a little fun to be found in playing the âheroâ every now and then. âBuy a ticket to my next show and weâll call it even.â he deadpanned, smirking when the kid mentioned his parent, âReally? Huh, my cousin knows the guy. They were on the Justice League back in the day. So,â he gestured at the wall, âStill getting the hang of it?â
There was no way Jon was going to afford those tickets. Still, he nodded. âMy told me about your cousin. I think sheâs cool.â He said, hands in his pockets. Jon had met some of the Justice League members when heâd been little but that was something heâd never really gotten to brag about thanks to the whole secret identity thing. So many missed opportunities. âYeah, something like that. Have you always been good at magic?â He asked, trying to change the subject.
KARA
KARA RETURNED JONâS GRIN. She was glad that her cousinâs family had moved to her city. Now she had a chance to spend more time with them. Much to her chagrin, she had missed most of Kalâs life and what she had planned to teach her cousin she gladly taught to his son. âBusy enough to make my parents think that Iâm ignoring them.â She sat down on a bench and a let out a sigh. Kara made a mental note to visit her adoptive parents later. âHow are you settling into your new home?â
Jon nodded. âYeah. The city is different but in a good way.â He snorted and sat down next to Kara. âStill, making new friends isnât fun. I kinda miss my friends and Kathy. Just when I thought I had a chance with her.â He confessed with a sigh. Jon had had a crush on Kathy for years... and he had never acted on it. âMaybe she can move here later.â He said, hopeful.
OLIVER
Oliver raised an eyebrow before breaking into a grin. âI wonât tell if you wonât,â he replied, winking once at Jon. âCome on, letâs get out of here before people start to ask questions about the giant hole in the brick wall.â
âThanks.â Jon said and  let out a sigh of relief. Sometimes he forgot how cool and rich friends parents had. He still wondered how well they had taken his dadâs sudden disappearance. Jon walked with Oliver and cleared his throat. âUh, you donât happen to own that building, do you?âÂ
SELINA
Selina couldnât help but feel her lips curve up into a crooked smile. âDonât worry about it,â she said, reaching a hand out to gently touch Jonâs shoulder to tug him away from the wall. âWeâll just get out of here and pretend we didnât see it, okay?â
Jon gave Selina a hesitant nod nod and followed her. âArenât you going to lecture me at all?â He asked, shrugging his shoulders. âBecause Iâm pretty my dad wouldâve sent me to live in the ruins of Krypton by now. You know, the entire building could have collapsed if Iâd hit it a little bit harder.â
HARRY
Harryâs seen some wild things in his life, but itâs not exactly every day you see a hole in the wall like this. Not by accident, at least. Especially not in a city thatâs such a mess. God only knows whatâs going on here. âWeird is one word for it..â Harry whistles, peering through the hole in the wall. âAny idea what happened here? Oh man, the owner of this place wonât be happy..â
Jon didnât doubt that. However, he had a feeling that the ownerâs reaction would be nothing compared to what his parents were going to say. âNope.â He said as nonchalantly as he could. This wasnât the way heâd imagined to meet Harry Osborn, of all people. âYou donât happen to know who owns this building, do you? Maybe someone should tell them.â He shrugged his shoulders. Â
EVIEÂ
evie stood in the doorway with her arms folded over her chest. she found it amusing when powered people tried to hide theyâre little mistakes from humans. âkid its fine âââ when i first got my powers i flooded my bedroom.â
Jon let out a surprised laugh. He covered his mouth with his hand for a moment, trying his hardest not to laugh at the woman. âOuch. What did you do? â Jon finally asked, an apologetic smile on his face. He knew that they should have left the scene but he was pretty sure they were safe - he'd peeked through the walls of the building and there was no one else nearby. Still, he knew that he was going to be in trouble once his parents heard about this. They always would. âI've had my, well, powers for years.â He confessed, shrugging his shoulders.
LOISÂ
Lois huffed softly as she stared at the hole in the brick wall. âPut your hood up come on.â Lois said in a rush as she looked around before pushing Jon into the car, her hands still shaking in fear. âI canât believe you and your father talked me into this.â she said softly as she hit on the gas, trying to get away. âH-how am I supposed to protect you?â Lois asked as her voice broke. She hurried up and wiped the tear away from her eye.
Jon hated seeing his mother like this. He bit his lower lip and looked away from her. She was wrong. He was nearly indestructible, he should have been the one protecting her, not the other way around. However, no matter how hard he tried, he was very good at getting her into trouble. âIâm sorry.â He said quietly as he looked out the car window, afraid that his parents would want to move back to Smallville. âIâll be more careful next time, I promise.âÂ
GARFIELDÂ
Garfield was terrified, but also excited. He couldnât explain. âYou just blew a wall and go with âthatâs weirdâ?â He said, now turning to look down at the boy âWho are you?â
Jon couldn't help smiling at his reaction. âSomeone whoâs very sorry?â He said, trying to play it cool. âAnd who wants to fix the wall but he canât?â He sighed, knowing that he would have to tell the other person something about himself. After all, he had been caught red-handed. "That'd be a cool power. And uh, I'm related to Superman."
ZACHARY
Zach rose an eyebrow and snorted. There was something inherently funny about watching a super mess up, even if he had no idea who this one was. âYea, almost as if you managed to break a wall by falling on it.â he deadpanned, âriapeR.â he cast easily, the wall magically rebuilding itself perfectly, âSo, which hero slash villain did you spring out of?â he asked bluntly.
Somehow, it made perfect sense that Zachary Zatara was an actual wizard. "Thanks." Jon let out a sigh of relief. He looked at the other and hesitated for a moment. âSuperman.â he finally said, shrugging his shoulders. He hadnât told the magician his name, no harm had been done, right? "You wouldn't mind keeping that a secret, would you?"
DAMIAN
SNEAKING AROUND WASNâT NEW to Damian since he used to do it all the time when they were younger than they are now. He grins though, somehow managing to let the emotion show through his features. âExactly, Jon. They donât have to know, but I feel like my father or Alfred would tell your parents. We could always pick a spot to meet, maybe a rooftop in the city.â That would probably be their best bet to avoiding their families from finding out. âI donât start fights for stupid reasons. I have no idea what youâre talking about. Good, what kind of training?â Damian asks while nudging Jon back gently.
Jon laughed. âA rooftop sounds good to me. Just like old times.â Then the hero ban had ruined everything. He gave Damian a questioning look. âYeah, but you still do start fights. All types of training. Yâknow, superhero training.â He said, a proud look on his face. Nope, he wasnât showing off to his friend... well, alright, he was. Sue him. âI think I could take my dad down but he doesnât want to fight me.â Jon said with a grin and stuck out his tongue. âDo you want to come over? My parents arenât home and my mom made some pie.âÂ
CLARK
Clarkâs gaze rose from the pot in front of him, not hiding the confusion on his features as he stared back at Jon. He was trying not to read too much into his sonâs question. Trying. With a tilted head, Clark responded, keeping his gaze on Jon. âNo. Itâs certainly different, a lot more like Metropolis than the farm wasâŚ. But no I donât. Iâve run into a lot of friends I hadnât seen in a while, Iâm back at the planet, your mom finally got that extra closet space she was complaining about⌠are you having second thoughts?â
Jonâs eyes widened at his question. âNo, no, no. I wanted this. The cityâs nice and mom definitely likes her new closet space.â He said, maybe a little bit too hurriedly and nodded. His dad was not on to him. âI just miss my friends, thatâs all. And maybe, just maybe, I miss flying.â He said, making a face. âBut Iâll make new friends and Damianâs here. He was surprisingly happy to see me. Speaking of him, can I invite him over?â Jon smiled. âWere your old friends happy to see you?â  Â
Jon stared at the gaping hole in wall with a horrified expression on his face. So much for being a child of two worlds. His attempt to act clumsy had not gone as planned. He had no idea how he was going to explain this. He turned to look at the person standing next to him. âThatâs weird.â He tried, clearing his throat and glanced away.Â
KARA WANTED TO SQUEEZE HIS CHEEKS. She pulled her cousin-once-removed into a crushing hug that would have been dangerous to anyone who wasnât Kryptonian and patted him on the pack. He seemed to have grown taller again. She let go of him, a beaming look on her face.  âYou look just like your father.âÂ
@supeyjr
Jon rarely felt fragile... unless he was getting hugged by a Kryptonian. âDonât say that.â He said and made a face at Kara. Ever since the first time they had met, Jon had always liked her. Technically speaking, she was older than Jonâs dad and that had never ceased to amaze him. Also, unlike Jonâs dad, she had lived on Krypton. Heâd never get tired of Karaâs stories. âHow have you been?â he asked, grinning.Â
