thank god i’m not cis
“Queer” is important to me because it covers the many facets of my identity and demands equal acknowledgement and respect for them.
I am a many headed beast, asexual, panromantic, genderfluid, and they’re all equally important to who I am. Having the word “queer” to describe myself gives me the ability to break down the walls between my identities.
I’m not just asexual, or panromantic, or nonbinary, I’m all of them, always.
No matter what, I’m queer.
I’m a biromantic grey sexual trans, we don’t have any identity in common, yet we’re both queer. And I think that’s beautiful.
Queer is the best word to describe myself - agender asexual sapphic - because even if any of change, I’m still queer.
Why I love the term “queer”: If I get into the specifics of my queerness, I’m a demi-bisexual genderqueer girl with a romantic preference for girls.
A.) That’s a mouthful, “queer” covers it all in a nice little one-syllable word.
B.) My labels have changed a lot! I’ve gone from “I’m bi and cis” to “Actually, demisexual fits me really well, can I combine that with bi?” to “Hang on guys, I think I might not be cis or bi at all” to “I’m a nonbinary lesbian maybe?” to “Well, no, my partner came out as a trans boy and I’m still attracted to him, so I guess I’m bi after all…still think I’m nonbinary tho.” And through all of that, and through any label changes I might go through in the future, I’m still queer.
C.) My different identities are all tangled together like Christmas lights! Like @officialqueer, I am a many-headed beast, and each head is equally important to the whole beast. I am not just demisexual, I am not just biromantic, and I am not just genderqueer, I am all of them, all the time, and I can’t talk about one without mentioning the other. “Queer” means no separation between my sexual orientation and my romantic orientation and my gender identity, because no matter what side of my identity we’re discussing, it’s still queer. I’m still queer.
For me, being queer means having the freedom to change without second guessing myself. It removes the pressure to keep all my labels ‘up to date’, and that constant soul searching was a huge source of anxiety and depression for me. Being queer, my feelings and experiences are always valid, even as they change.

#1 thing I notice trans people forget to change after just a social name change is their voicemail recording!
Reminder that changing it with your credit card company isn’t enough, you must call each credit bureau you’ve used (there’s 3 total, call all to be safe if you’re not sure). If not your actual credit won’t transfer and will appear as 0 the next time someone runs a report and you’ll get declined which can cause issues.

✨Hi non binary people who don’t dress exclusively nuetral you’re super cool and valid and your expression doesn’t define your gender✨

You’re so incredibly strong and I admire you all so much. 💖💟💙 #transgenderdayofvisibility 📷: @genderlessadventure . . . . . #trans #transgender #queer #LGBTQ #LGBTQIA #pansexual #gay #instagay #spring #springtime #detroit #michigan #michigrammer #ohwowyes #thatsdarling #vsco #vscocam #vscocamgram (at Elizabeth Park)
maybe……… people sometimes dress or act provocatively at pride…………. because it’s the only place we CAN dress or act provocatively without fearing for our lives
maybe that’s also the reason gay people act that way in gay clubs. maybe the two gay men passionately making out on the dance floor are doing so because it’s the only place where they’re able to do that.
HMMMMM u know i think u may be onto something here! maybe gay people aren’t overly sexual degenerates after all! whom'st the fuck knew!

I hope all trans people are having a good day y’all deserve it
My dad told me that he has a coworker who’s a trans woman. She was married to this girl before her transition and they remained together after it. Everyone at work respects her pronouns. My dad is in a chiefing position at his office and he told me that nobody jokes behind her back. She and her wife have two cute dogs together and I felt like I should share this story bc I want everyone to know that this positivity and respect exists and you deserve it. Don’t ever dare think that you don’t because you do.
Update: they have three dogs now
These guys agreed to get undressed to address body positivity in the media. No studio lights or beauty retouching required.

YES YES MALE BODY POSITIVITY
Thank you. Especially to the guy with the acne. Lots of people have acne on the chest and back, but almost no one ever acknowledges that. Young children that just start going into puberty need to know this is normal and not something to freak out/ be embarrassed about. Body positivity in the media helps so many people with self esteem issues.
