On October 22, 2023, an airstrike destroyed the house I was in — my grandfather’s home. It was the heart of our family.
I was there with my mother, my sister, and my three younger brothers.
When the missile hit, everything turned to smoke, blood, and silence.
My mother and sister were killed instantly.
My brothers and I were pulled from the rubble, injured — but alive.
Moments later, my father arrived at the hospital.
He didn’t know if any of us had survived. He ran through the halls, searching.
Al Jazeera Mubasher filmed that exact moment — the moment he found us.
This video isn’t easy to watch. But it’s the truth.
It’s the moment my father found his sons alive…
and learned that his wife and daughter were gone.

I’m sharing this not to cause pain, but because I want people to understand what we’ve lived through.
This isn’t just a story. It’s our life.
It’s the moment that changed everything.
I’m still here. I’m trying to raise my brothers now.
We are trying to rebuild something from what was taken.
If you can help — even with a share — thank you
My name is Naser AbuThaher. I’m 18 years old, and I live in Gaza.
And if you just watched this, thank you for witnessing.

Thank you for standing by my family. I know I keep asking, but your donations are what keeps us alive, especially after the recent bombing that injured us all.
Our sole focus now is saving my brother Samer. Securing his vital medications and evacuating him for treatment is our only hope.
Please share our story and encourage others to donate.

If this page suddenly goes silent one day, know that my brother Samer didn’t make it. I will never forget those who saw him suffering from severe bombing injuries, lacking his vital medications, yet chose silence and kept scrolling.
I feel completely shattered and deeply ashamed begging strangers for help every single day. This endless nightmare has stripped us of everything, forcing me to sacrifice even my own dignity just to keep my brother and my family alive.
I want nothing from this world except to see Samer healthy and free of pain, and to save my family from this slow death. Please donate so we can afford his essential psychiatric and medical treatments before it’s too late.
Please Please donate GoFundMe
I swear these donations are our only way out. Please keep supporting us to save my brother Samer. 🙏

Samer's life depends on the next hand that reaches out to him. Please don't just share this post. Help us keep his heart beating.

Hm...
I am thinking about what choices would be available if TMA was a choice based game, so here's batch from each season. (I hyperfixated on this and it got long. Whoops. I think my ending ideas are cool though.)
Season 1:
Flirt with Martin, Sasha, or Tim. I made a post about this, actually!
Believe Naomi in "Alone", or be skeptical of her story. This plays into how skeptical you'd want Jon's mask to be. If you believe Naomi Jon will let his mask break a bit and say strange stuff is out there, if you are skeptical of her story Jon will keep his mask and act how he does in canon. (Believing Naomi raises entity points, being skeptical of her story raises humanity points, because remember, Jon is acting so skeptical because he feels like he's being watched.)
Admit to Martin that you believe in the "paranormal", or don't admit to Martin that you believe in the "paranormal". In the safe room during the worm attack, you can either answer Martin's question about Jon's skepticism honestly or refuse. If you answer honestly the canon events of TMA will happen where Jon opens up to Martin about his paranoia, if you don't, Jon will shut Martin down and say he's just like that and there's nothing more to it. Being honest gives you a major relationship increase with Martin, shutting him down causes a major relationship decrees.
Go with Sasha, Tim, or Martin during the worm situation. If you with Martin, Jon will be there to find Gertrude's body, you will also raise relationship points with Martin. If you go with Tim you will raises your relationship with him, and Tim (High on fire extinguisher) will help Jon walk on his leg. if you go with Sasha you will raise your relationship with her, and then Sasha and Jon will be separated and Sasha will become Not! Sasha! On this route Jon will noticeably be off put by Not! Sasha's presence because he was JUST with her and now she's acting...odd.
Let Tim go home, or make him give a statement. At the end of the episode, Tim will refuse to talk about what just happened, and say that he wants to go home. If you let him go home he'll walk away, and the player never gets to learn his POV of events. However, Jon and Tim won't loose relationship. If you do make him give a statement, you will get to learn about the events through Tim's POV, however, the downside is that Tim and Jon's relationship looses points and becomes more strained. (If you make Tim stay you get entity points, if you let him leave you get humanity points.)
Season 2:
I'm imagining like a scene with a big board with a red string on it, and for a choice Jon has to pick who he finds the most suspicious: Martin, Tim, Sasha, or Elias. Depending on your choice, Jon will treat whoever you choose with more suspicion when they talk. (If you choose Martin or Tim, your entity score will go up. If you choose Not! Sasha or Elias, your humanity score will go up.)

does anyone wanna talk about the linguistic implications of the names of the days of the week in riptide
(disclaimer: to not mess up the flow of whatever the fuck im saying im gonna use mock footnotes)
okay so for context heres the days of the week circa grizzly once in discord and then into my google docs:
now, the dominant (1) socio-cultural cosmology in riptide is the aster/lunadeyius(2) polytheism, as seen by both R.A.F.T. and the elders (which represent a major united governing body of a majority of the undersea) following those respective beliefs. before we continue, let's establish some facts we know about the world of mana and it's history, as well as the metatext: 1. the undersea and oversea were not always split (3) 2. balance is a major theme in riptide 3. there are more cosmologies that are not fully explored in the story at this current time, yet have an influence on the world (4) that said, let's continue
firstly, i find it interesting that these are the days of the week that the oversea uses (4), which we know to have a primarily aster-leaning bias, yet we only see one direct reference to symbols associated with aster with sunday. secondly and by contrast, elements associated with lunadeyius are found in moonsday (5) , watersday, and fishday. i would like to make note that i could see harborsday being a lunadeyius-biased word bc of its association with water, but harbors are land features that are man-made (i.e., a pier or dock) and therefor have that land connection. twosday is probably a mix between "grizzly is fucking with us" and the more favorable interpretation of "the dominant cosmology is dyadic so pairs/twos are significant" finally, and probably the coolest for me, is starsday. now, at first, there's an assumption that stars could either be referencing the sun (as the sun is a star) (<- keep this thought in mind!) or the moon (stars come out at night) but i actually think it's an archaic term (for lack of a better word) reflective of the druidic (6) path aurora (7) follows! if that druidic culture is, say, older than the aster/lunadeyius split, it makes sense for it to have some kind of linguistic value that just carries on despite losing some kind of meaning, and interestingly the element of the sun being a star but stars as a whole being associated with night reflects a balance that is thematically relevant to the story!
notes: 1. when i say dominant, i mean dominant power not majority. 2. do not fucking correct me on the spelling of this i dont care 3. see: 110, 116 mainly 4. source: grizzly specified this in discord, and it's also discussed that a traditional language of the undersea is primordial. unclear if this is a thing where the language is only ever used religiously 5. this is just a fun fact but in both english's germanic and latin origins, monday means "day of the moon". also, bc of latin influencing this, "monday" in spanish (lunes), french (lundi), and italian (lunedi) all also come from the latin "dies lunae" (day of the moon) which is from a babylonian tradition of naming days of the week after celestial bodies. 6. part of me thinks this maybe could be similar for malenia and connect to "harborsday" since harbors are a land construct that protects or houses, like the tree. 7. additional evidence for this is the month "auruna" (april) being related to aurora's name linguistically, and it coming from that druidic belief.
Any setting where the elves have weaker booze than the dwarves isn't committing to the bit
I mean, we're talking about people whose lifespan is Yes.
"Oh, the weak wine? That is for children. I am two thousand years old, and I daresay one sip from this highball would knock you on your ass for a week."
Look, there's this weird thing people do with high fantasy where they want elves to be immortal/extremely long-lived snooty aristocrats and also somehow incapacitated by imagining the taste of salt too hard. "Orcs and dwarves have the hardest booze" no they don't, they have work in the morning! In any of these settings, elves would pregame harder than hobbits party and everyone else has shit to do tomorrow.
The average high elf builds up the drug tolerance of a mid-70s Hollywood producer and then spends three centuries studying alchemy. While humans seek immortality, the Immortals seek the elusive "philosopher's cocaine."
Elf Fentanyl works exactly the way cops think human fentanyl does
