by rejecting a trans person for being trans, we learn:

to hate ourselves

to hate our bodies

that we’re not worthy of love

that we’re a freak

that we’re not worthy of our bodies being loved

that when you say you like a gender, you only mean cis people

that we’re not and never will be good enough

that the world is better off without out us

so maybe fucking try not doing that because it tears us apart

Courtney Demone is a trans woman currently undergoing hormone replacement therapy and, as such, is starting to grow breasts.

Given this opportunity, she has a found a brilliant way to #FreeTheNipple.

Demone is launching the hashtag #DoIHaveBoobsNow and will post topless images of herself on Facebook and Instagram, “until those networks decide that my breasts have developed enough to be sexualized and worthy of censorship”

Demone is exposing privilege and hypocrisy all at one.

however, here’s a cool thing. everyone sort of has their own definition based off of their personal experience of being transgender.

This woman was detained and told to leave the airport for being trans 

Shadi Petosky just wanted out of Orlando, Florida. On Monday night, Petosky, a 35-year-old transgender woman, attempted to board a flight at Orlando’s International Airport when she was detained by the TSA. The reason? An “anomaly” — her genitals. The TSA does have a policy for treating trans fliers, but there’s just one problem with it.
