god, i hate to do this, but... i need some help - my kofi page

my hours at work have been reduced from 25+ down to 10 or less. i've been struggling a lot this month with keeping up with school-related bills, and while im looking for a second job (to possibly replace my first), i decided to make a kofi to get tips on doing what i love most; writing.

i am offering to write short stories up to 8,000 words max. for $5 (USD) of characters of your choosing. (please note that my specialty is resident evil and horror, but we can definitely chat if you have other suggestions. i'm sure we can work something out).

three facts:

This is probably already a dead give away but I absolutely love creative writing. Fun fact: I’m currently working on a fanfic based after the events of RE: Village. I originally started working on it in December of 2022 but I’ve only typed out 4 chapters so far (real life was a MESS at that time). However, I’ll post it to archive of our own sometime this summer, perhaps :)

I absolutely love video games. Just like with writing, I use it as an escape from reality and to just get lost in another world for a bit. Some of my all time favs are: The Last of Us (first one), The Evil Within 1 and 2, Resident Evil 2, 4, 5, and Revelations 2, Dead by Daylight, Dishonored, Uncharted series, Tomb Raider series, and honestly the list can go on, so I’ll just stop here lol

Here’s a cute, little fun fact: I own a Russian tortoise! He just turned 5 last month and his name is Bolt! I’ve had him since he was around 4 months old :)

writing experience:

I actually started writing on twitter when I was around 13 years old, and (DON’T LAUGH AT ME) it was for the Nickelodeon verse (such as iCarly, Big Time Rush, Victorious, etc…)

I know it’s cringey but please, I was only 13

Since then, I’ve migrated to here and roleplayer.me - (not really that active on it anymore, though). I’ve even tried a few rp servers that I’ve found while searching random forums in the past, but nothing has ever really panned out except for twitter and here. However, I’m more active here since twitter is a complete shitshow lmao

I’ve been writing in the video game verse specifically since 2020, in which I started writing both Ellie and Joel from The Last Of Us.

writing sub-genres:

For the past… 7 or so years, I’ve found myself mainly writing in the horror/thriller verse, with a dash of action/adventure and sci-fi at times. Horror is my NUMBER ONE favorite genre to write in. The excitement and chills I get when writing a gory story or lengthy, thrilling reply will never bore me. I live for that feeling. I’m also a horror fanatic, big Halloween movie fan.

plots vs. memes:

Oof, I’m very indecisive, so I’m going to have to say in the middle… it also kind of depends on my mood. Some days, I love writing out lengthy replies or starters developed from plotting, while other days I just feel like shooting out quick one to few liners that can crack a smile on your face or make you chuckle.

So, yeah. I’m a mix of both.

best time to write:

I personally enjoy writing in the late afternoon (around 3:30 - 4:00 ~ oddly specific, I know lol) since this is usually the time I get home from work and have already taken a shower. I usually try to spend about one hour grinding out some ic and ooc replies before I go eat dinner and complete some coursework. (I’m a college student :))

Jill shivered in her blue tank top, toned arms reaching forwards, a single digit extending to press the button of the automatic door to open it. She stepped inside, ears perking up at the swoosh sound it made as it shut behind her, almost as if it were on command.

She glanced around, taking another step forward before feeling something wet hitting her from above… and soon she became drenched.

“Agh!”

She wiped away at her face, running forward to escape the decontamination shower, only pausing once feeling a nice warmth radiate around her being.

“Ah, that feels nice~”

She relished in the heat for a solid minute before returning to the task at hand: finding the t-virus vaccine.

She made her way out into an open area now, immediately noticing computers aligning multiple desks, and across the room through a large window looked to be some sort of… operating room.

Half of the computers were either shut down or wiped clean upon quick inspection, so the S.T.A.R.S agent found it appropriate to move onto the next room. And this one… gave her an eerie feeling.

The examination table was smack in the middle of the room, with restraints to hold down all four limbs, while a medical cart lay beside, filled with recently sterilized medical tools.

The sight sent a shiver down her spine, not even wanting to imagine how many experiments have been created on that very table—

THUD!

…

A loud sound pulled Jill out of her thoughts, head immediately glancing to a door across the room from her.

THUD!

There it was again!

Assuming the sound emanated from a threat, the brunette quickly drew her pistol, finger lazily resting on the trigger as she cautiously made her way towards the door.

THUD!

She wrapped her digits around the knob of the door, her heart pounding within the base of her eardrums as she mentally prepared a countdown;

2…

1…

She busted the door open, gun aiming towards whatever the sound was, and it was something Jill was not expecting at all.

It was a girl… in a cell.

“Oh, my god…”

The S.T.A.R.S agent quickly holstered her gun while making way to the cell door, watching as the other skidded away in fear.

“Are… are you okay?!”

She blurted out, hands roaming the door for a knob or anything that she could pull to get the door open.

today was my first day working with the S.T.A.R.S team at the RPD. Man, was it strange.

My Captain, Albert Wesker, is the literal definition of a stone cold, emotionless embodiment of a man. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone like him, and that’s coming from an army veteran.

One thing I found bizarre about him was that he constantly wears sunglasses; indoors, at night, when there’s no sun - he wears them 24/7…

Who does that?!

(however, I won’t deny the fact that he does have some attractive features ahem )

On the other hand, he’s a good Captain; he cares about his agents, isn’t afraid to put us in our places when we’re acting out, he’s even taught me a few things with hand-to-hand combat and firearms. But he can get… tedious after awhile.

But doesn’t every Captain?
